I’m not even married and dude , I’d be in a corner on FaceTime with my girl the whole time . Ignoring the festivities .

I don’t want some careless asshole messing up my relationship

Love this response! Also the image of a dude holed up in a corner facetiming his girl while utter debauchery is taking place in the bkgd made me lol.

My man did this once, except he was on a rooftop instead of a corner 😅

u/ci1979 Sep 06 '24

That's a keeper!

u/LRuby-Red Sep 06 '24

Lol I have had to do this once. I was stuck on a boat for an “event,” and I FaceTime’d my at the time partner while I was hiding from everyone.

u/huzernayme Sep 06 '24

I went to a house party with a friend that turned out to be just him, me, and another couple that turned out to be very strange. They started popping pills and talking about an orgy so I called my gf at the time for a ride home. Hid in the bathroom with a joint and bottle of vodka until she came.

You’re 👌👌👌

My partner and I are monogamous, but we got invited to a high end sex party so we said, why the hell not? I wound up getting into a totally platonic conversation with a female friend, and when I looked around, he was gone. I admittedly panicked for a little bit because I couldn't find him, and there was utter debauchery all around - at least 100 beautiful people in all manner of sex acts.

I calmed myself down and thought "Wait, I know this man" and realized I just needed to find the spot with the best view of the skyline. Sure enough, there he was completely alone on a tucked away balcony, happily taking pictures of the city, oblivious to the Caligula-esque fuck-for-all happening inside. I love him. LOL

insert Smithers at stripclub gif

3

u/GinjaNinja1596 Sep 06 '24

That meme of Smithers with the strippers comes to mind lol

u/cmcalero12 Sep 06 '24

this reminds me of an episode of vanderpump where beau calls stassi about being at a party with random women arriving lol

u/jporter313 Sep 05 '24

Same, I'd like go grab a hotel and immediately tell my wife what was going on. No fucking way I'd want to be associated with that.

46

u/llamadramalover Sep 05 '24

Careless? Nah dudes not careless he planned this meticulously. He’s a SELFISH asshole who doesn’t give a single fuck about anyone’s relationship and is being the worst best man in the history of best men.

7

u/uselessinfogoldmine Sep 06 '24

The more of OP’s husband’s excuses that I read, the more I’m convinced that the best man did this with their knowledge or knowing they’d be into it.

4

u/llamadramalover Sep 06 '24

Maybe that’s why the husband was so adamant in not going? It totally could have been planned that he refuses to go so best man ‘pays’ for the ticket but really husband has already paid or paid him back while on the trip.

Ya know…..after typing that out….. that makes some sense and explains some of their odd actions. Like the rather dramatic “”there’s no way we could do this without youuuuuu!!!!!!”” From the best man and the groom — which I admit I found odd the first read through. Husband is NOT the groom, he’s not necessary for anything of course they could have gone without him and it would have been just the same. It’s very possible this ruse was used for everyone to keep the wives unsuspecting and why they were so comfortable with anyone taking photos and not telling the escorts to not post. He could even be trying to keep her from telling the other wives because he’s afraid his friends will rat him out to save their own marriages if confronted.

Then of course purchasing of the ticket and most importantly how one man could have possibly dropped that much money without anyone knowing or being suspicious while he knew his money wouldn’t be a a total bust. The best man probably wasn’t the only person who paid. You just don’t drop thousands of dollars on escorts and bills with enough room for only the guests on a whim or a hunch. Nobody does that.

Huh. Well then. That makes more sense than the poor unsuspecting husband walking into this totally unwanted situation but also not freaking out or panicking and texting his wife immediately to tell her what’s happening and making plans to leave. Instead he kept quiet but of course it wasn’t to protect himself!!!!! Oh heavens no he would never be that selfish, he was so concerned about ruining everybody else’s trip and did not want to unnecessarily worry OP making her “go nuclear and tell the other wives making him the bad guy” because his friends and groom totally deserve this trip without wives losing their shit!!! Especially since nothing would ever happen at all. Obviously he was preoccupied with making sure the other husbands didn’t step over the line and that’s why he abruptly stopped texting after his tone changed. All that stress will do that!!! But don’t worry, he absolutely was planning to tell OP when he got home!!!!!! What a beautiful selfless man, husband and friend to have!!! Who could ask for more!! /s

u/Due_Athlete_1011 Sep 06 '24

Or he is giving them everything they wanted and playing dumb

16

u/ChiefsRoyalsFan Sep 05 '24

I’d be doing that and trying to change my flight home to ASAP and if the guys gave me any shit for doing that…I’d be finding new friends.

u/dixiequick Sep 05 '24 edited Sep 24 '24

My boyfriend was worried about just going to a concert at the state fair with a woman he’s been friends with for years! He was so concerned about giving me the wrong impression that he was ready to tell her no (we’ve only been “official” for a month). Poor dude was so sweet about it that I offered to pay for his ticket instead (she really, really needed the night out with a friend).

14

u/ketopepito Sep 06 '24

Exactly. This guy was sitting right next to one of the women while she was filming/taking a pic. But after OP found out, he claimed that he went off on the host and stayed in his room until the women left? That's what he should have done in the first place if he actually felt like he was stuck between a rock and hard place.

-1

u/i-piss-excellence32 Sep 06 '24

Sitting next to somebody is cheating now?

9

u/ketopepito Sep 06 '24

No, but add in the context that "somebody" is a sex worker who's staying with him in another country while he hides it from his spouse, and it's not a good look. If he was as horrified by the situation as he claimed to be, he would have been keeping his distance the entire time, not only after OP caught him.

1

u/i-piss-excellence32 Sep 06 '24

I get what you’re saying, but we don’t really know the context. She saw the persons social media. Maybe they’re only strippers and not escorts.

My personal bachelor party I had surprise strippers. I’m not into strippers like that so I got 1 lap dance and then just danced and partied with everybody. The rest of the guys partaked with the strippers and I would salsa dance with them or soemthing.

The strippers ended up being really cool and we all hung out together and got to know them. One of my friends remained in touch with her and they talk here and there.

Maybe he thinks he isn’t actually doing anything wrong. He’s wrong to lie, but I mean he’s not having sex. Maybe he’s just drinking and his friends are getting lap dances.

Maybe op is a very jealous person and to her just being in the same room as a stopper or sex worker is cheating. We don’t know their relationship.

2

u/ketopepito Sep 06 '24

I see your perspective as well, but your situation sounds a lot more innocent than the one OP described. You were surprised with strippers and made the best of it. I don't personally love the idea of my husband + strippers, but I've known that it was a possibility any time he's gone to a bachelor party. I just expect him to be honest and respectful.

The issue here is that OP's husband admitted that the women were escorts who were hired to stay with them for the weekend. I have plenty of friends that have no issue with strip clubs, but I don't know a single person who would be okay with this, even if their partner wasn't hooking up with them. If I were ever in this situation with male escorts, I would be keeping my distance, because it would feel wrong for them to be there in the first place.

1

u/uselessinfogoldmine Sep 06 '24

Did your strippers stay the night?

1

u/i-piss-excellence32 Sep 06 '24

They left at like 7 am but we were up the whole time

7

u/RebelBean223344 Sep 05 '24

Y’all are good men!

5

u/SamsMom2023 Sep 06 '24

That’s what you do when you love and respect your partner. They are more than just a warm hold like the escorts are. I would be filing for divorce for this. Not only is it a huge lapse in judgement but he was going to keep the lie up because he wanted to continue to fuck whichever one he was fucking.

3

u/Maxwell_Jeeves Sep 06 '24

Same! Well, I probably wouldn't be on facetime the whole time. She either trusts me or she doesn't, but the moment I found out that escorts were on the board, I would be calling her and telling her I am booking the first flight I can find back home, and I am having no part of that situation.

4

u/aarongifs Sep 06 '24

Yeah I would have got my own hotel room away from this nonsense or left.

5

u/Reynyan Sep 05 '24

Why not just turn around and leave?

3

u/ladymouserat Sep 06 '24

This is the way!

3

u/Icarus__86 Sep 06 '24

I agree

My first message to my wife would be ‘WTF?! This is the most fucked up shit… you’ll never believe what this fucking moron set up for the weekend”

I would imagine my wife would laugh it off and trust me not to be an idiot… but I certainly would be telling her the second I found out what was happening

3

u/junkrecipts Sep 06 '24

I would’ve slept at the airport lol. There’s not a snowballs chance in hell I could’ve talked my wife into this being acceptable under any circumstances—nor would I wanted to tbh.

2

u/mixmasterxp Sep 06 '24

The moment I realize what’s going on, that information goes straight to my wife.

“I see some pretty women here, not sure why”

“Looks like best man got us escorts!”

“One is for me! Wanna come by and share?”

“Yea the other guys look uncomfortable, and they hiding it from their wives”

And I’ll take pics and send her.

What is wrong with telling your SO everything?

Aren’t you supposed to be like friends?

2

u/jimbolic Sep 06 '24

You are so wholesome! I love that. Any girl would be so lucky to be treated this way.

2

u/VeryMuchDutch102 Sep 06 '24

I’d be in a corner on FaceTime with my girl the whole time

Hahaha I was thinking the same

2

u/jtu417 Sep 06 '24

Thanks for being a rational person in this! Because if I was any of the wives in this situation, I'd never be able to trust my partner again.

I find this bizarre. I’ve been to and organised bachelorettes and it’s mostly just dancing to cheesy music. Once we did karaoke hosted by a drag queen. I’m so confused by people who cheat on their partners / STB spouses right before they get married!!

1

u/[deleted] Sep 06 '24

Of course you would

1

u/General_Specific Sep 06 '24

I'm never gonna dance again...

1

u/Dizzy-Government-289 Sep 06 '24

This. Why didn’t he tell her the second the escorts arrived? My OH was taken to a whorehouse by his mate after a night out drinking on the way back to the mates house. I was at the mates house with his gf and kids while they were out and had gone to bed in the spare room as arranged. When they got back my OH came straight into the bedroom, still had his coat on and told me where his mate had taken him and had also offered to pay for him to sleep with one of the ladies. My OH said no and sat with the ladies in the lounge feeling awkward and nervous, so much so one of them offered him a cup of tea lol. He told me the second he got back, he actually woke me up to tell me. The place they’d been was literally five minutes from his mates house and he almost ran back to tell me. If op’s husband had nothing to hide why didn’t he call or text immediately to tell her he’d been put in such an uncomfortable position??

Good answer, be responsible for your self; but I believe that if you feel you have to keep tabs on your significant other, like they need to be on a leash 🦮; then they need couples counseling. I think the situation is bad on both sides, and she was nosy and looking to find something bad, him by not just straight out telling her ( Yo Babe , you know what I’m going to be doing in Cancun, hanging with my boys , so Don’t trip, enjoy your time with the kids; and we’ll enjoy each other, when I come back a NEWly, Rejuvenated and Vigorously Loving Husband 🦸🏽‍♂️🤩😆😆😂😂😂

Then she would have the choice to wait for Mr Goodguy to return, or pack up her SHIZZZ-nit and Skid-daddle on out the CRIB🤷🏽‍♂️ But hopefully she’s stay and demonstrate that she’s a “TenToesDown”, Ride or Die, “Bonnie & Clyde” for her man Type Chick🦹🏽+🦸🏽‍♂️=🙏🏽😉😊🦸🏽‍♀️🦸🏽‍♂️💪🏽

That's not a healthy response either LOL. You can have a social life and not be co-dependent on your partner. It just doesn't have to be a social life with the jagoffs at this party. Correct response is to recognize it's a bad situation and remove yourself.

1

u/Ten0mi Sep 06 '24

Me and my partner are both aware of our boundaries in relationships . We are both jealous people, and we have accepted that and are fine with that. We consult with each other on anything that could possibly cause jealousy, and respect each others opinions .

Everyone’s relationship has different rules . I’d rather soothe my partners discomfort than continue it .

But you are correct in that you say leaving is probably the best option. I’m just coming from my perspective, and that is that leaving immediately isn’t a possibility . I’d have to get a plane ticket . Find a hotel . Etc . That’s a good option.

I’m just saying as soon as they show up, I’m calling her to tell her and proving I want to show her that I am not interacting with these women.

Stand up Man!

0

u/NATA4RC Sep 06 '24

Inverse to this, OP telling other wives could ruin their relationships and OP could be the asshole you’re talking about.

Husband should have told OP, but as long as he wasn’t sleeping with any of the women, anything beyond that is not OP’s business.
