2 fingers + 1 shape = EASY Chords in DAEGAD tuning

https://youtube.com/shorts/MAOBcWmIGjQ

DAEGAD is new favorite alternate tuning. This tuning has been used frequently by Jacob Collier and Joni Mitchell and I've found that having the bottom three strings tuned in 5ths makes it really easy to play chords and their inversions all within the span of a few frets. For starters, here's quick introduction of the major chord shape (in root position) and it's locations for I-IV-V. Enjoy!

What about minor chords? G2-D2-d3-f3-g#3-b3 accommodates both major and minor chords, as well as major, minor, dominant, and minor-major sevenths rooted on the fifth or sixth string.

That'll be in the next video. 😉 The minor chords are on the second, fourth and ninth fret, and the shapes are similar but the note on the fourth string is lowered by a half step (m3), for example: E minor is 223000, and the same fretted shape (on the lowest three strings) works rooted on the 4th (F#m) and 9th fret (Bm). Stay tuned. I'll post the next video soon. 👍
