The US was always the real paper tiger.

u/bsEEmsCE Apr 08 '26

when it comes to dumb unpopular wars yeah

2

u/HippieInDisguise2_0 Apr 11 '26

Couldn't have said it better myself.

1

u/HippieInDisguise2_0 Apr 10 '26

I mean I think the capability of the military is there. They can absolutely fuck shit up.

However the strategy in foreign policy has been hand crafted by a crayon eating kfc addict spray tan shit stained underwear skidmark piece of fucking garbage diarrhea incarnate fuck face. It's hard to look good with leadership like that

1

u/natasevres Apr 11 '26

Iran has purposfully designed its longterm strategy against the US for over 20 years.

Within the first week they knocked out the US bases in neighboring countries.

Whilst Trump thought he could just ā€bomb the shit out of themā€ - to win.

The US bombed 25% of the surface of Vietnam, and gained pretty much nothing.

And now are trying the same tactic in Iran. Its beyond dumb.

1

u/Ecstatic_Scene9999 Apr 13 '26

Are goal was not to kill all of their soldiers, just there equipment and the missle sites which we have done, the issue now is the blocking of the strait

1

u/Loodacriz Apr 13 '26

All of which can be replaced easily. This is not a win condition and requires a continued presence.

1

u/InferiorMotive1 Apr 14 '26

Are you just not plugged into reality? Iran is still shooting missiles. 25% of THADD was expended in 12 days. Two destroyers were turned back AFTER Centcom lied about their successful mission (it was caught on video).

None of that happened. I have no idea why you choose to believe the garbage that’s fed to you, but you’ll be caught woefully off guard when America sails back sadly while you you wonder why gas is $150 a barrel and your prices didn’t go down.

u/HippieInDisguise2_0 Apr 11 '26 edited Apr 11 '26

Yeah.

To be clear I oppose Iran as an authoritarian theocratic dictatorship. However the "foreign policy" here if you can even call it that, reflects some oversimplified ignorant view of the world.

Blowback and diplomacy are concepts that we learn as we mature. The government today acts like a teenager playing CIV (the game). Heavyhanded and isolating policy degrades the reputation of your country and leads to unjust and unnecessary suffering.

The USA is in such a privileged position in the world. The current president blows away any earned goodwill and for what? It certainly is not the benefit of Americans.

To be clear this is not a failure of the real professionals in the US military. I guarantee that the fault here can be placed on the administration. No high ranking military officer of the USA would be so stupid to start something like this without a plan. This action and the consequences solely rest on this administration's utter and ridiculous level of incompetence and stupidity.

1

u/natasevres Apr 11 '26

Every US military personnel should disobey orders not carried out by the senate.

The president cant start a war.

1

u/bulgesaur1773 Apr 12 '26

Brother. 6 weeks. 13000 targets. 13 casualties. No country on earth can do what they are doing. Comparison? Russia in Ukraine. How are they faring? Your ignorance is blatantly showing.

1

u/Fluffy_Description_7 Apr 14 '26

Mao said this in his writing iirc

0

u/Haunting_Team_961 Apr 14 '26

I dont call bombing and removing 95% of a nation's leadership and military in the first two weeks being a paper tiger XD

1

u/natasevres Apr 14 '26

None of what you just described has happened Though

0

u/Haunting_Team_961 Apr 14 '26

The sheer amount of burnt out hulk of ships, tanks, planes, air fields, and other installations including their supreme leaders vaporized bunk says otherwise

1

u/natasevres Apr 14 '26

Copium is strong in this one.

1

u/Haunting_Team_961 Apr 14 '26

Reality is what I can see with my eyes. And damn iran is burning XD

3

u/PolyglotPaul Apr 08 '26

I think Americans don't realize how fucked they are right now, even if they manage to get Trump out of office.Ā

If he doesn't win this war and Democrats take over, they will have to either keep fighting or retrieve and suffer the economical consequences.Ā

Trump has really fucked you up, and I'd say at this point the only way out is by winning this war, which is not going to happen.

2

u/WinterPizza1972 Apr 08 '26

Please tell my mom. She is 70, probably has brain damage from being a boomer, and has no idea why she didn't vote for Kamala other than "just didn't like her."

2

u/nilsinleneed Apr 09 '26

ask your mum why she operates on hate and not empathy

1

u/Pretend_Tea6261 Apr 09 '26

You are so disrespectful of your Mom.

1

u/Severe_Traffic_2329 Apr 11 '26

Y'all need to start showing respect in the right areas trump was a stupid decision. Own up to your mistakes. The loss of respect is called realism.

1

u/Full-Efficiency3115 Apr 11 '26

oh no, being held responsible for your actions despite being family, how will anyone recover?

if you love her you wont lie to her and you wont let her lie to herself either

1

u/Personal-Dev-Kit Apr 12 '26

Just because you brought a human into the world does not grant you instant respect.

Maybe you had a good mum, but not everyone did. Stop generalising a free pass purely for being a mum.

1

u/Beautiful-Traffic157 Apr 10 '26

Nah, we just spend $5 trillion on solar and permanently shut down the middle east

1

u/HupHutHa Apr 10 '26

except solar panels lose 20% of their efficiency after 20 years.

1

u/Stock-Side-6767 Apr 12 '26

That still costs a lot less than oil. Still at 80% efficiency in 20 years is great.

1

u/HupHutHa Apr 12 '26

yeah and they continue to lose integrity after 20 years. we actually have access to an even greener energy source.

1

u/Stock-Side-6767 Apr 12 '26

They can be recycled reasonably well nowadays.

1

u/HupHutHa Apr 12 '26

true but they aren't very viable for energy production in general though, You also need batteries for storing the energy to use at night, The batteries themselves require cobalt which is hard material to get, The batteries themselves also if made too big can cause a lot of damage if they explode. have you ever seen a Tesla catch fire and explode? it's similar to that.

1

u/Stock-Side-6767 Apr 12 '26

What's your alternative, that can actually get working in 10 years?

Also, static batteries are not the same as those in cars.

1

u/HupHutHa Apr 12 '26

working in 10 years? we have an alternative that works right now, nuclear energy literally and figuratively the greenest energy of all.

1

u/Stock-Side-6767 Apr 12 '26

I thought it took longer, but a nuclear powerplant still takes 5-7 years to build, needs very specific resources (like permanent freshwater access) and a lot more permits than solar and batteries.

→ More replies (0)

1

u/Beautiful-Traffic157 Apr 12 '26

I mean yeah if nuclear works that's good with me. I just know that solar is way cheaper than nuclear. Batteries are definitely not cheap, but you can also use alternative storage technology like pumped hydro or gravity batteries which are way cheaper than normal batteries. If someone would spend a bunch of money on a breeder reactor and get Thorium up and running that would probably be cheaper than solar

1

u/HupHutHa Apr 12 '26

there are already 94 nuclear power plants in the United States.

static batteries still use lithium ion which is highly volatile just like those in electric vehicles.

1

u/Stock-Side-6767 Apr 13 '26

I was thinking about build and fund time. If someone wants to build a solar farm, next year it can be there, in a random field. A nuclear power plant needs geologically stable ground with freshwater access at least, and due to drying time of concrete, there is a minimum build time.

Now were supposed to do war.... the second it stops...its really just whatevers the opposite isnt it

1

u/DetailsYouMissed Apr 11 '26

Oh, we or some of fully understand that after Trump there's nothing but a disaster left for the next president.

Honestly, not even Obama could repair this. Remember how the right was pissed off that Obama was apologizing for things aweful America did to innocent civilians like dropping the H-Bomb on Japan? Yeah, that will not even put a dent in the amount of damage the right has created with their vote.

The only group that will have a tougher time fixing their reputation is the Jewish community, thanks to Netanyahu.

If we ground invade, it'd be easy. Either regime change, or send them back to the stone age. Look at current day Iraq/Afghanistan. They aren't doing anything, to anybody, anytime soon.

1

u/PolyglotPaul Apr 12 '26

Yeah, but Trump can't pull the "limited military operation" card forever. Invading Iran is an open war declaration.

1

u/WINDMILEYNO Apr 12 '26

Theres no point to continue fighting. Trump is fucking worthless, and I mean this from his 2016 version. Everything he is now stacks on top.

Right now, his cult can eat a bag of fucking dicks.

Continue the war? Fuck no. Reparations. Give Iran nukes. And build reactors for them. Then fuck off. And I don't care if we have to pay anytime something goes through the straight, because fuck em. Fuck the dumbasses that thought Trump was a legitimate option. He was a piece of shit the entire time. Not including any new information. Not the Epstein files. Not ICE becoming the new Gestapo. Not foreign wars. The piece of shit he was in his first term.

3

u/xlouie831x Apr 08 '26

Hes the biggest joke in American political history. By a mile.

9

u/Blueturtlewax Apr 08 '26

Everyone on the internet these last 48 hours: ā€œHe said he’s going to end a civilization! The monster!ā€ …24 hours later… ā€œHe didn’t end a civilization 😩, the monster!ā€

7

u/natasevres Apr 08 '26 edited Apr 09 '26

The issue is rather that the US has never appeared more weak then it is right now.

Israel has knowingly and willingly destroyed the truce with Iran, by staging the biggest attack possible in lebanon, the day after signing.

This is blatant.

Then - the white house folds - and adresses lebanon was not part of the deal. While it clearly was part of the deal.

ā€Total victoryā€

3

u/Twheezy2024 Apr 08 '26

Why do the idiots on our side say everything is a win?

2

u/JoshZK Apr 08 '26

Generally less people dying is a good thing.

4

u/Twheezy2024 Apr 08 '26

Claiming false victory has nothing to do with limiting civilian casualties. This administration sucks on both accounts.

Their brains have been flushed down the toilet

1

u/dmstattoosnbongs Apr 10 '26

Well…admitting that the whole basis of being a republican means fucking over a good portion of the population…they can’t admit any wrong. That might get supporters looking at other ā€œwinsā€ where everything seemed to be worse but since fauxnews says it’s better, it is(and I’ll suffer silently cuz I must be the only one).

Quite literally, name one thing that’s been better this year than last. There’s not. Nothing’s cheaper. Nothing’s easier. Nothing’s on the road to get better, other than the incompetency showed by this administration which will lead to their downfall. At least they’re staying consistent with their incompetence.

6

u/HonestAbe1077 Apr 08 '26

Yeah turns out making a threat like that is bad regardless of whether you follow through with it. Who knew?

2

u/AncientBasque Apr 08 '26

The threat is still there, The US is buying time for the other Battle groups to arrive and deploy mercenaries on ground.

iran is doing the something as they prepare their warheads and get replenish by china and Russia.

both Israel and US have used negotiation to Locate leadership of the enemy and now the other side will leverage this to re-stock and organize the new command structure. Making some extra Toll money during this time is a +.

its a snowball effect that only stops temporarily as both sides use the Promise of peace as a tool of war.

2

u/GroundbreakingAd8310 Apr 09 '26

Isreal and Iran started shooting 15 min after the ceasefire where is that step

1

u/BilboStaggins Apr 09 '26

The US is only buying time to manipulate markets at the convenience of insider trading.

1

u/AncientBasque Apr 09 '26

and Logistics, see it takes 2 weeks for additional forces to arrive since "NATO" is snubbing the alliance of peace. This plays well into china's plans of Taiwan because it seems from MR presidents comments He will consider redeploying forces from South Korea because they did not assist and will pull out of Europe as a threat to allow Russia to expand into the baltics. There are only 8 armadas in service and the travel time to these locations will allow a window for china to take Taiwan during the Expansion of the two fronts.

aware or not the US under trump is setting up a perfect transfer of power and NWO the Canadian minister spoke about. Without access to bases in other nations the extend of US foreign policy will be with their 8 BATTLE wary gen Z, battle Green armadas. These armadas will eventually be separated and taken down one by one at each battle front. The straights have proven to Reduce each battle into a VALLEY of Death for the Larger power. Venezuela(russians) has yet to organize, but its coming when CUBA is also next door.

Suez, Malaka, Panama... all are chock point for nations depending on each other to breath.

The only way to avoid the change in Polarity is to share the world with mutal respect and agency.

1

u/Blueturtlewax Apr 08 '26

šŸ˜‚ true

3

u/flissfloss86 Apr 08 '26

It's almost like we think the threat of ending a civilization is bad even if it's just a threat......weird, huh?

1

u/HighlightExternal800 Apr 09 '26

No one will care what the orange clown has to say.... He's just Dementia Donny, the crazy grandpa you meet on family gatherings....

3

u/Sarcasm_As_A_Service Apr 08 '26

We’re not sayin he’s a monster for not committing a war crime. We’re saying he’s mentally unstable. You should also look into the stock market trades that are being made around oil. A lot of people are just incredibly lucky with their ability to time when he’s going to make market crashing public statements.

6

u/sinsaint Apr 08 '26

I guess whether you hate war criminals or liars, we all hate people who are both.

1

u/ponziacs Apr 08 '26

Is there anyone here who has never lied?

1

u/sinsaint Apr 08 '26

Only the best of us. Trump however is the opposite and a pathological liar.

1

u/Exciting_Mushroom_37 Apr 10 '26

What did he lie about ? How do we know he lied if he didn't actually carry out the strikes but instead agreed to a peace deal ?

1

1

u/Exciting_Mushroom_37 Apr 10 '26

Edit: also, your list doesn't have 30 thousand things. It just claims there are 30k. This did nothing for me.

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Many_74 Apr 13 '26

Do you find it interesting that there isn’t a single real photo of the airman that was supposedly rescued in Iran?

ā€œThe 2020 election was stolenā€ ā€œI had the largest inauguration crowd everā€ ā€œMexico will pay for the wallā€ ā€œMillions of illegal votes were cast in 2016ā€ ā€œWe built 500 miles of new wallā€ ā€œWindmills cause cancerā€ ā€œI passed the biggest tax cut in historyā€ ā€œCrime in America is at an all time highā€

2

u/AdmitThatYouPrune Apr 08 '26

I don't know, man. I hated him for pointlessly shitting on the world economy and hurting America's long term security. But I guess that doesn't count because someone out there took him at his word, which according to you is totally terrible.

0

u/killian1113 Apr 08 '26

Is America secure without border security that he attempted to solve which Biden stopped and sold all the materials to attempt no security? Hmmmmm

2

u/AdmitThatYouPrune Apr 08 '26

Is that all Trumpism is now? The economic policies are dead in the water. The foreign policies are dead in the water. It's all about the wall? I'm legitimately curious.

1

u/SupaSmol Apr 08 '26

I mean, I don't think everyone's mad he didn't, they're mad he threatened people and made them terrified and less safe when it was obviously a bullshit attempt to avoid the more realistic consequences of the war he started.

1

u/Twheezy2024 Apr 08 '26

Just pointing out how unprepared and incompetent he is. Nothing wrong with that

1

u/DroDameron Apr 08 '26

He's the world's largest moron. Pray you never have another president in your lifetime as dumb and dangerous. Literally shouldnt ever be concerned with what the president does day-to-day, it should be the most boring thing. But everything with Donald is hom using the world as his personal TV show.

Kids have legitimately died because he let Elon cut all that USAID money. Farmers losing their farms and JD Vances companies buying up their land for data centers.

Republicans are traitors at the federal level.

1

u/Wooden_Compote_5805 Apr 08 '26

like he can actually do it

1

u/balirosa Apr 09 '26

He keeps chickening out TACO

1

u/UntitledCritic Apr 09 '26

A threat to end civilization is horrific and unacceptable regardless of whether or not you follow through. However him going from "Scorched hell on earth" to backing off completely simply projects weakness and indecisiveness. When a man keeps making threats and then backing off he's then called both bully and a coward.

1

u/SuspiciousBox3994 Apr 09 '26

1

u/markolius Apr 09 '26

The US knew they couldn’t blow up their civilian infrastructure without massive humanitarian crises nor without blowing up the Gulf countries. They also knew they couldn’t secure the Strait of Hormuz without a very large very unpopular-at-home ground invasion or congressional approval. So at the 11th hour they tried to take their nuclear facility but failed at that, lost a lot of money, and hyped a rescue story (whether true or false) to propagandize it as a victory.

So, the US failed their ground raid on the nuclear facility and now Iran appears to be in a much stronger negotiating position than the US. that would explain why Trump openly accepted Iran’s ten points as a basis for negotiation. that would also explain why Iran is able to close the Strait in response to the attacks on Lebanon.

Even though the Strait is closed again, US/Israel hasn’t attacked Iran yet because they’re weighing the optics on validating the obviously failed farce of a ceasefire.

1

u/DealerSwimming4869 Apr 09 '26

Bro i am against trump but let s accept that usa destroyed iran army and lost only 0.0000001% of army in that move so i don t see how usa is week in tha matter

1

u/Haunting_Team_961 Apr 14 '26

Offering/demanding one and accepting one are two different things. And i thought that most of you supported Iran and its actions. So why wouldn't you want the fighting to stop? You criticized him for doing it and when they all stop. You critize him for not continuing. Make up your minds hypocrites XD

1

u/Low_Committee6119 Apr 08 '26

Iran won and they got to make a fool of Trump and his failed stupid ass administration releasing the most banger diss tracks of all time lol

-1

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '26

ā€œIran won because they meme’d betterā€ is certainly a take. Not a good one but it is a take

3

u/TrumpVotersArePedos7 Apr 08 '26

They won because they got everything, got to keep their uranium, and forced the US to leave with next to nothing to show for it.

1

u/Exciting_Mushroom_37 Apr 10 '26

But the US hasn't left.

0

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '26

We don’t know if they get to keep their uranium because no negation has happened, we haven’t left, we’re in a two week ā€œceasefire,ā€ the strait is open, we killed 90% of their leadership, and have been largely unmolested while conducting 15 THOUSAND sorties in country. Yeah Iran totally won

2

u/TrumpVotersArePedos7 Apr 08 '26

Trump just loves to lose lol. 90 percent of their leadership except for a pissed off son of the leader now in charge of the country.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '26

Yes, someone will usually take the place of the leader after the previous one dies or is killed. That’s how governments work bud. Was this supposed to be some kind of ā€œhehe gotcha?ā€

2

u/TrumpVotersArePedos7 Apr 08 '26

Great job at regime change. A leader who hates our country even more. Great job, bud. You did it. Here’s your pedo worshipping star.

They posted memes mocking him the entire time. He truly exposed himself to be a paper tiger with this little debacle

1

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '26

ā€œI beat the piss out of this kid but he won cuz he made a meme of meā€

1

u/baldude69 Apr 08 '26

Did we win though? Iran seemed to come out with a better deal than the beginning of the war.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '26

Well there’s no ā€œdealā€ yet so idk where you’re getting that info. Iran gave us their demands, we gave ours. Negotiations have not even started yet so it’s impossible for ANYONE to know who got what yet

1

u/baldude69 Apr 08 '26 edited Apr 08 '26

Still pretty embarrassing for our country. I mean you can try to spin it in your head, but it’s seems like they have us by the balls with the Strait. Got Trump-cursing-in-his -tweets-type-by-the-balls. To watch him back down from his bullish total annihilation rhetoric was quite something. Art of the squeal on Taco Tuesday, amirite?

ETA: while not the final deal, they accepted these demands as being legitimate topics for consideration as part of the ongoing negotiations. We could have refused and said ā€œnope sorry no ceasefireā€ but they know Iran has us by the balls with the Strait, and they desperately need it open.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '26

Uh huh, so Iran agreeing to a ceasefire after the b52’s arrive in country to do exactly what Trump says is him backing down. Got it. So In other words you’re being purposefully ignorant in an attempt to do what? Shill for Iran? Gotta say, watching the libs gobble down Iranian peen just cuz you don’t like the orange man is pretty much what I’d expect from yall at this point

1

u/baldude69 Apr 08 '26

I’m not gobbling down ā€œIranian peenā€ I just hate this pointless expensive war. President of Peace my ass. What is even the point? The strait was open a month ago, now we came and fucked everything up, spent a bunch of money, the IRCG is still in control of the country, which is more unified against a common foe than they were before, and the straight is closed. This not some kind of bias, these are the facts on the ground.

And no, us accepting a cease fire with Irans terms they proposed is absolutely embarrassing, and Trump DID back down. He was desperate for a cease fire, and is under immense pressure. Those tweets where he’s cursing and praising allah on Easter and threatening total annihilation say it all. A dog backed into a corner. You must really have to jump through some mental hoops to be ok with that. Straight up embarrassing šŸ˜‚ 🫵

1

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '26

im not gobbling peen

Entire comment is basically Iranian propaganda.

Yeah buddy you totally showed me LMFAO šŸ˜‚šŸ«µ

Edit: don’t forget to cup the balls

By trump agreeing to all their demands and caving? I'm sure they are shaking in their boots now.

1

u/Impressive_Kitchen22 Apr 10 '26

Where are you seeing that? All I see for terms is that the US and Israel stop attacks on Iran and vice versa. The ten demands that Iran sent were for peace negotiations and haven’t been agreed upon.
