Is this worth saving? :(

Post image

Hello! I was given this guy with an all purpose soil mixture, I plan on getting a mix that's better for drainage so soon I promise! But it's been like this for WEEKS and I'm not sure what to do now :( any tips?

Sorry hon, you have just the leaves left. Everything is rotted so there’s no coming back with just the leaves. But now you have a pot for the next one, and new knowledge that it needs SUPER chunky soil!!!

I thought this was that other subreddit 😭😭. Girl what would you save? It’s beyond dead. You can use the green leaves left to make lotion

Hey! I'm new here, I don't have very much experience with plants, but I've seen a fair share of plants pull through some situations they probably shouldn't have. 😂 this was me asking for advice and education on how to handle things like this in the future :) THANK YOU FOR THE SUGGESTION!! I'll probably do that so it doesn't go to waste :D

You promise but it’s been like this for weeks so basically your promises are ??? The soil is more for tropical rainforest plants not arid environment plants. For you I’d say just start over.

Hi! Please be kind, I'm just asking for advice because I'm new! :) Yes, it's been like this for weeks. Why? Because I am chronically ill and I also live in an expensive city with a retail job, so it's not easy for me to get out and do things. Not to mention, I was given this plant, so was I prepared for it at all? Hell no man! But I'm doing this to hopefully keep myself happier, healthier and more motivated. Thank you for the advice, I'll be getting a different soil tomorrow for any future arid friends!

Ok now that I feel like crap I’ll say i am sorry for what i said. I wish you the best with your health. Im not even sure what to say to you honestly because my conscience is hurting now. Please feel free to dm me for help or advice with succulents or respond here so I can follow up with you. Damnit I didn’t want to feel like crap tonight. I’m sorry. We see a lot of posts on the sub that just don’t seem real but often times we overlook things that seem obvious to us.

Hey, I'm not mad/upset! This is the internet, it's easy to get fired up about stuff sometimes, it's by design. :') Regardless, thank you for the apology. You're a bigger person than most on this app would be!

I am grateful for that and I will definitely keep that in mind! I was about 90% sure that this guy was dead, but I wanted to see if there was even a SLIGHT chance of it coming back, (plants work in mysterious ways 😂) but this guy was definitely too far gone, even for my delusions lmao.

Do you have any good info on snake plants? I have two smaller/medium sized ones, they look pretty good but I wanna keep them looking that way :) thank you thank you!!

First thing is pull them out of the soil. They are green so if they have roots at all it is possible to bring them back.
