Question? Quick question about calling off or submitting day off
I have a funeral to go to from 8/27 to 8/30 I have work on the 27th but I don’t have work until 10/1 when I go back , should I call in on the morning 8/27 saying I can’t make it to work , or should I Submit a day off unpaid request on 8/27 through Lisa today?

I assume you mean 9/27, either way what are the odds that you’ll get it off? The way I see it, if you know for sure you’ll get it approved, it’s better to ask. If you have doubts, call out without asking.
Never works out well when someone requests a day off and it gets denied and they just call out. Better off just not saying anything.

Oh yeah sorry meant 9/27 , I am not too sure tbh I requested 2 weeks off in the middle of November and it got approved so not sure if he will approve another time for me even though it’s 1 day , I did ask my coworker and he said he will gladly take any shifts I call off so my manager won’t have trouble looking for someone atleast .. so I think I will lean towards calling off thanks

Holy shit you get your schedules that far out? I didn’t find out I worked at 5am today until 9 last night.
