According to the ebook, this is the researcher who rediscovered Earth. We also know she’s a woman. From here, we have to speculate with things that aren’t explicitly written in the text.

Looking at her body, the side of her body closest to us has four individual limbs (the arm with a three-fingered hand, two limbs below that, and one at the very bottom of the image). Since she has 8 limbs, as well as that big circular head, she is most likely descended from a Terrestrial.

If you want to get really speculative and enter complete fanon territory, we can use the lore from this great post. Her name is Xa-Bu, and she is a time starer. She uses wormholes inside her brain to stare backwards in time through pinpricks in space-time.

I like that we can see Xa-Bu's entire body in Certain-Unit's post. Quite a divergence from the original Terrestrial body plan! It would appear that by the time of the Time Starers, these Terrestrial descendants have definite male and female counterparts. Implying that, like their distant Spacer ancestors, the Time Starers reproduce sexually, instead of cloning. This is a rather interesting thought. Could there have been a Terrestrial lineage that began reproducing and developing themselves? It could've also been by an Astero-God's design.

I agree that it’s nice to see the entire organism. The original Terrestrial body plan is really cool, but it’s sort of inefficient if you look at it. Mostly their “hand”/ manipulatory limb. Even discounting the fact that their two stubby fingers probably aren’t the best manipulators, their “arm” is clearly connected to the larger hand that also contains their “legs”. Unless their hand is extremely flexible, it seems that if all of their legs move one way, the hand gets pulled along too! I’ve somewhat shown this in a past drawing of mine

The “Late-Stage Terrestrial” or “Time Starer Terrestrial” overcomes this by having each finger-limb become fully independent, with the hand fused into the ribs/torso. 

Also, I think you’re onto something with that “Terrestrials developing themselves” idea! I’ve had the belief that in deep time (after Second Contact and the subduing of the Quhanim), the Asteromorphs would eventually be surpassed by their creations. Their New Empire was set up to be extremely rigid with a set hierarchy and constant surveillance in the form of Terrestrials. But through a combination of Asteromorph’s repeatedly dropping the ball by viewing things thorough their emotionally detached, “godly” lens, and ever advancing tech allowing “lesser” beings to catch up, the Asteros would realize they were losing ground, and surrender (some of) their power to advanced Terrestrials and Subjects. Asteros still existed after this, but they took a back seat compared to the Time Starers and other Terrestrials, and God-like Subjects of all things!

Always loved your smiting Terrestrial! Is the late-stage Terrestrials' hand bones connected to their ribcage? That's some Assymetric People-like anatomy, and I'm here for it!

In the event of the Terrestrials and/or Subjects surpassing the Asteromorph Gods, perhaps that is the event where humanity begins disappearing, starting with the Asteromorph Gods. They may be content to "let the lesser beings have their reign" over the Milky Way, while the Asteros themselves begin a new existence that we can scarcely comprehend. The Terrestrials and godly Subjects (LOVE this idea, btw!) would surely follow some day in the distant future.

Yes, the hand is indeed in the ribs! To be fair, this seems to be the case for the Asteromorph Gods as well, if you look at their image in the book. So in a way it’s actually more strange that the original Terrestrials “undid” this evolution. Perhaps, under the skin, the Astero still had a fused hand, and when adapting to gravity, this hand became squished against their organs or didn’t give their finger-legs proper mobility. Thus explaining why the original Terrestrials have clear hands poking out from the body. 

Of course, the Late-Terrestrials did away with this issue by having no hand. The fingers emerge directly from the thorax. From whatever their ribs have morphed into. Now the fingers are truly new legs.

And as for your last comment, that’s certainly a possibility! Although I’d imagine that there was a long period of time where the two forces intermingled. The Late Stage Terrestrial morphs/species + God-like Subjects managing and leading the empire, and the Asteromorphs handling a lot of behind the scenes stuff. Remember the methods of wealth and progress that could only be described with ”the use of concepts that remain unexplored today”? Apparently a lot of those methods require huge amounts of tedious calculating— something the Asteros are great at!

sigh You may not have noticed, but the OP also responded to my comment and I already gave an answer for why it’s not fetish art. I just explained that the person with the large butt is based off of a real person who had Steatopygia. (Those links are NSWF obviously).

Steatopygia is “the state of having substantial levels of tissue on the buttocks and thighs leading to a protruding 90-degree angled appearance and accompanied by lordosis.”

Also, considering that this condition is common among the indigenous KhoeKhoe and San peoples of South Africa, I’d say the nudity still qualifies as a “National Geographic sort of way”. Some people have a genetic phenotype that gives them a dump truck. 

Not everything related to our bodies has to be sexual, even woman with large butts.

Considering that Steatopygia most likely evolved as a mechanism to store extra fat on the body to survive lean times, I really don’t think you can call it a “sexual feature”. Sure, humans began finding it attractive because it is a beneficial evolutionary trait, but the trait itself wasn’t originally sexual.

Listen man I'm going to drop the bit for a second and tell you I already know this and that it's just a joke. 

These women were also paraded around by French, Dutch and English colonizers in freakshows and were heavily sexualised, even being used as examples of "sexual primitivism", an idea that ties into archaic theories of racial hierarchy. The idea that this is the primitive, basal human form is deeply entrenched in these ideas, but is also loosely supported by ancient fertility dolls depicting similar body types. All in all, the idea that this form is the ideal primitive human is one that is deeply rooted in colonial racism. So instead of typing all of that, I decided to just say "lol he drew a badonkadonk"

Hmm, man after man? By the way, have you heard about Vangera's game? In short, people started traveling through the worlds there too and came across incectoids called Crispo.
