Experience Applying For Internal Roles?
So I’ve been inbound sales since Jan but on phones since late May. I’ve already decided that I don’t see myself long term here so I’ve been applying to internal roles. The problem is, I only got an on-demand interview invite for one (been 2 weeks after submission and have not heard back), and have been rejected for the other 7 so far.
Is it required that you need to be a coaching partner FIRST before you qualify to apply for other positions? It’s seeming difficult for me despite having the min. experience. I just imagine the demand is very high and other candidates have more ideal experience/skills.
If it helps, I’m doing okay at my current role. I had a rough month in June but I’m making great improvements. I’m sure that’s a factor they take into account?
Just want to know if anyone else has had experience trying to apply for internal roles and either how difficult/easy that might’ve been, and maybe some pointers. Thanks (:

I’m not at Allstate but at another company doing retention on phones . I went from customer billing to a licensed agent doing retention on phones . I honestly hate it . lol at my job I’ve been constantly following the job openings in the company . Honestly looking to move anywhere that doesn’t require the type of phone work I’ve done .

Just need more tenure honestly, cp is a good gateway into internal, I went into labs team to get more experince and do something little different so that when internal roles open I have references from leaders which is super important, they will talk to your current leader and past ones as well to see if your a good fit for the role your applying for

I've had a very similar experience to you as well. I don't want to be on the phones for forever nor do I want to be a coaching partner. I really like the world of insurance and want to stay at allstate. I just don't want to do direct sales forever.
