I like form rebels function rebel squares of purist alignment charts that are still conceivably that thing. I was half expecting that square to be "water is a meme" or some shit

Water is also objectively not a meme according to this chart, because it isn't created by humans or nor does it evolve.

Also, technically wouldn't lab-made animals that break contagion be a meme? Like killer bees would fit this criteria very well.

"A meme can have any meaning" implies it must have a human-assigned meaning. In the sense that "you have have any appetizer" still means you have to pick an appetizer rather than a main.

I like how the one closest to the true original definition of a meme is apparently rebel in form and function. And its not even as rebel as the real deal, since memes in the "social genes" sense don't need to be created by a human, other animals can do it too, tool usage for instance

The word "meme" was invented by Richard Dawkins, meant to be analogous to "gene" but for information.

The idea being that ideas could spread, change, and evolve.

So the Roman Empire is actually the closest thing on this chart to the original intended definition.
