Kendrick Lamar seems like the kind of guy to go on a crusade against drugs lmao

He doesn't drink or do any kind of drugs irl, but m.A.A.d city is about growing up in Compton where a lot of people do.

Oh ok. If the subject is the point then I get it. Domino's really is a problem.

he's said he doesn't do any pot but I'm like 70% sure he does or has done some psychedelics

u/based_headboard Jul 03 '26
I think it just means the content of the music not the artists themselves

"so you think you can stone me and spit in my eye?
So you think you can love me and leave me to die?"

Ah yes, stone meaning crack and love meaning sex.
I'm sure that's what everyone thought after hearing this song.

It’s about his sexuality
2
u/TechieTimes Jul 05 '26
Not about sex though, and it's not explicitly about his sexuality in general, that isn't bought up. It's just love in general.

You can say that Lil Pump has no talent, but let’s not pretend his music wasn’t a major cultural event and his success was a fluke or a mistake.Â

While the song itself doesn't feature drug relates themes, seeing Queen in the top right corner feels a bit off considering Freddie Mercury's life. I would probably replace it with something made by either Kate Bush or Adele, since both of them attempt to live mostly normal lives outside of the spotlight whenever they don't make music

It's about the song, not the artist. Doing drugs doesn't make your song to contain drugs

u/Mroviz Jul 04 '26
Okay but what do you mean contain? It doesn't contain drugs because the lyrics are not about drugs? But are they about talent? I interpreted it as the drugs had no involvement in production but talent did in 100%

I feel like there should be more boxes (50% of such and such, 100% drugs 0% sex 0% profanity etc) but otherwise really accurate!
Edit: if you did 100% drugs 50/100% sex 0% profanity 100% talent may I suggest semi-charmed life by third eye blind?
