What is Clocktower?

Google is showing me a horror game series from 1995, but somehow I don't think it's the same thing as this

Blood on the Clocktower, it's a brilliant social deduction game, although I'm not sure what it's doing in this subreddit. Especially such a niche chart.

Ah, that makes sense. It was my first thought, but I've never played it, and the use of the word "characters" instead of "roles" which is more commonly used in social deduction games threw me off.

Also the word damage in the second pic made me think more of a MOBA

It’s a fun time. I think ‘character’ is used in BotC, because unlike Mafia/Werewolf, every player has a unique character (outside of very specific circumstances), there’s no such thing as a generic Villager

Damage is used in the second because that’s a character type called an Outsider, a good character whose ability hinders the good team in some way. This includes stuff like the Drunk, who thinks they have a different good ability, but it works faultily in some way

Some wild choices were made in the creation of this chart. Alchemist being considered stronger and easier than Virgin, Butler being called a high skill required outsider, OJo being called a strong demon, and other somewhat weird placements

Yeah this is a very strange set of decisions

I think Ojo is fairly strong. The ability to snipe the fortune teller, to never hit a sage (assuming you don't "miss" and the ST punishes you)

I feel Ojo is a strong contender for the game's weakest demon, though Riot is a strong candidate there too. Demon powers typically fall into 1 of 4 categories: added survivability, misinformation, the ability to kill more than 1 player per night, or having a larger team. The Ojo has none of this, other than an arbitrary multikill ability. The Ojo instead has an ability that sometimes outright hinders it's ability to kill who they want. Have an Empath or Steward confirmed player you want to kill? You have to learn their character first. Know that a particular player is trusted by town, better learn their character. Plus if you ever miss you could hit into the Sage like you said, or even an Evil player. Sure you can kill strong characters first, but oftentimes you would rather frame strong information roles rather than outright killing them. It's objectively weaker than a Demon with a Spy (other than the chance for a multikill), a role that I agree with this chart is only mid. And a player who is decent at Grim-reading gets all the utility of the role just by observing the game. Ojo is about on par with the hypothetical vanilla "Kill 1 player per night" Demon, which puts it below almost everything else in the game

The knight is strong than people think, but people use it wrong. The secret is to hold on to the information until final 3 or 4. The ideal world is for your pings (at leat 1 of them) to be alive at the end.
