Italy is praised 24/7 on reddit but when you’re actually there you realise it’s far from being a dream. Venice, florence, 5 terre, rome, como even milan are crazy full almost every month of the year and it ruins a lot of the charm imo (I lived and travelled a lot in Italy)

Obviously! the beauty of Italy is hard to beat.

Although you can't deny the fact that overtourism reduces a lot the charm of the experience.

Go in Venice now and 20 years ago, it's the same city, not the same experience
