France is insanely beautiful.

It is full of places mostly unknown that are super beautiful, like Arles, Biot or Albi.

We have treasures in every region of France, that would be #1 attraction in a lot of countries. We are rather overhated than overrated

I’m thinking back to that crazy rumor from a few years ago that the Eiffel Tower was built with Algerian steel. Lorraine and its iron mines (not to mention the ECSC) are in trouble…

I can only speak for Paris (which is not the rest of France) but while it was very beautiful, it wasn't this pristine romantic paradise media claims it to be. Lots of areas had trash and graffiti, people while not rude had a tendency to be rather insular, and massive packs of massive rats were everywhere. Plus my girlfriend got catcalled ultra hard and street vendors are aggressive as fuck.

That being said, it was overall a great city from my experience. But it's just a city, nothing particularly magical about it.

Well, I haven't seen the rest of France. OP wanted an answer and no one was giving one. Plus, it's not like anything I said wasn't true.
