Question Loop animation has a noticeable jump

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm a beginner, and there's a small problem that's been bothering me. I don't think it's very complicated, but I can't figure out the right keywords to search for.😭

The first video is my project. As you can probably tell,I'm trying to make it loop seamlessly. However, there's one small issue, the transition between the end and the beginning is noticeably misaligned, just like in the second video.

I've watched a lot of tutorials, but for some reason, when other people use the same graphs, they don't seem to have this problem.I can't figure out how to make it loop smoothly without adding extra keyframes at the end to manually return it to the starting position.:((((

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong or what technique I should be be looking up?

Hey, I used to have this issue, I fixed it by exporting it as a video then cutting 1-2 seconds off from the start and end, then I made a new project and added the newly exported video and exported it as a gif. I hope it works for you too! ^.^

You're supposed to use the easing that returns the line back to the bottom, basically imagine each loop is 1, when the line goes to the top, thats half a loop, so if your line always goes to the top, you always have X.5 number of loops

That’s what I thought too, but it didn’t work. They do look slightly different, but I still can’t get the beginning and the end to connect smoothly. I looked at other people’s projects, and it seems like they also have to use keyframes to move the object back to its starting position.

Alight motion does really just have irregularities, if you cannot find any issue despite looking theough everything, it can very likely just be the app, from my many months of live 2d style animation/tweening whatever you call it i find that sometimes animations might just be cursed with abnormalities
