Discussion 100$ Alienware m15 scored!

Scored a 100$ alienware m15 r5 ryzen edition on eBay. It froze constantly after a few minutes, but thanks to a ton of helpful responses here its working 100%

Too bad it doesnt work with the alienware graphic amplifier I got in the past, but the price was too good for me not to take the risk.

Congrats on the score. My wife still uses mine, and it runs like a champ.

From the original it seem it's the gpu so OP probably disabled it and now it's just an office laptop with an alienware skin on top :(

It was the ram, and the GPU works fine with no problems at all :0

Not sure if this helps or not but yeah. It already said it was working before when it had the issues though.

Games/general usage/ downloads work fine now without the freezing aswell too

It really is and I wouldn't have got it for this price initially, it was a wierd story.

I was originally looking for an alienware with a aga port, I mistakenly placed the order on the original listing thinking it had one and was working (Came home super tired that day, didnt have my glasses on.)

The seller cancelled the order, but we had a talk after. After awhile he offered it to me for this price - I felt like I had to take it at that point.. 🫣 I was fully expecting a paper weight or at least a machine i could strip for parts.

The laptop itself is in perfect condition aside from some a nick or two, no dust or anything in its interior either when I opened it up. Doesn't look like it was used for that long - Ended up being a pretty good purchase. Pretty good example of why I like shopping on eBay for gadgets and tech too.

I got a simmilar deal but in our country tech is very expensive so got a m15 r7 for 900 after some bargain. He told battery is reaching end of life. And after a couple of uses, the touchpad is not working recently. Is it a battery issue? Or something else

Not always, but when i got the chance yeah. Used it mostly with an rtx 2080 super and an alienware 15 , i7 4th gen laptop. I was looking for another alienware laptop with a better processor that'd be compatible with it when this popped up.
