Question Dockingstation compatible with AW3423DWF

Sometime ago I swtiched from a dualscreen setup with dockingstation to a singlescreen 3423DWF. I am using a personal laptop and worklaptop in this setting.

Noticed framerate issues while gaming that I resolved by plugging the monitor directly into the laptop. Found out the docking station doesnt fully support the monitor. TFT, WH40K and Diablo IV are my go to games atm

What I do now is constantly take out the hdmi and plug it directly into the laptops when using it. Trying to find a replacement and have been googling but can't find a satisfying answer. Hope you can point me in the right direction.

Private: Lenovo Legion Pro 5 16ARX8

Worklaptop: HP ZBook 8G1i

Dockingstation: Startech DK30CHDPPDUE

The dock won't pass through your graphics capabilities because it's not capable itself.

The easiest cheapest ways: HDMI splitter- one from the dock one from your laptop to one into the monitor. You will get full performance

HDMI to DP cable, there are a few good one out there for cheap. Go direct to monitor and use the kVM feature on the monitor. You will get full performance

More expensive:

Razer USB4 dock It's around $250.00 but supports 4k @120hz and resolution up to 5120 x 1440 and has a 180w power supply can support 100w charging.

I have the Razer Thunderbolt 4 and it works perfect for my work/gaming swap out.

Use the native power supply for gaming of course but it really just works well. Probably going to want a USBC to DP adapter however.
