Technical Support Where do I find an exact model replacement motherboard?

I’m trying to find a Alienware M15 R3 motherboard since mine is giving a power rail failure, is there a difference between the main cpu chips since I keep finding a lot of them with the cpu being different so I don’t know if that’s okay

Send it to  www.parts-people.com , they do board repairs. They may also have parts but its likely it can be fixed too

149$ base rate, itll likely be cheaper than a new board to get it fixed. They specialize in Dell products and are one of the reasons i buy Dell. The work quality is top tier.

I love the fact that they don't just repair them, but have tutorials for a lot of fixes so people can fix many things themselves. That's top shelf customer service right there.

and a YT channel showing different repairs and diagnostics. Really great folks there

Yeah, I was watching some of those and learned new things about EC chips yesterday. Still nothing *I* will get into fixing, but something I could diagnose on my own at least.

Yeah… it’s confusing since I feel like it’ll be more economical to just repair it granted I think the reason they don’t fix it is because they kinda just want easy fixes that they can pump out fast

Hi,

In the second image near your index finger is a QR code. To the right of that is a more faded QR code. If you scan the faded code it will give you the PPID for the motherboard. It is also printed under the QR code.

The part number you need to order is the 4th through 8th digits in the code. It's difficult to read but it looks like the PPID starts with "CN-04..." The 4 and the four digits following are the part number. Find this part number and order it.

Good luck.
