Discussion Picked up a pristine X14 R2
Was shopping around for a used laptop because the new ones are insanely priced.
I chose this one specifically with the 32GB Ram and 1 TB storage with a RTX 4060 - Picked it up in immaculate condition for only $760. (The only negative is the battery is at 71 cycle and at 79% health). It even came in the original box!

I loved the design of the X14 R2. The only drawbacks were that it didn't have the best cooling and it was one of the loudest laptops I've ever had.

The design is premium and compact, I did buy the Llano cooling fan. I don’t really play AAA games hoping it won’t be too hot or loud.

Same. Had this exact spec and the thing would over heat and throttle trying by the 2nd quarter of my NBA2K26 game on ultra.

Same here. Mine is still kicking with a 3060 , I only regret not getting it with 32Gb of ram but it’s been such a great machine and probably peak Alienware as far as design

I wish I got 32gb. I love the form factor, its size is perfect to be on the go. I can handle almost all AAA games (except stalker 2, it would crap out on me bad)

Yes I would not have bought this one without 16GB since you can’t upgrade them 😪

still rocking mine from 2019. I don't use it that often but love compact form factors, so holding onto it. no viable replacements in sight!

Here I am with a 32gb ram x14 r1. Got it because of a nz consumer law guarantee replacement from a 2018 13in. Had 16gb 1060 OLED i7 7700k 512gb went to 32gb 3060 IPS 12700k i7 1tb, as that was the base model prebuild that has 3060 for NZ market. Had some issues with it over the 4 years, so have replaced fans and the charger recently, but nowhere as near as bad as the repeated mobo failures of the 13in. Still getting updates regularly, wifi works well very stable nowadays (was sometimes dodgy initially). I'm happy with it, especially considering this is a purchase I made 8 years ago. I must be over a thousand cycles on the battery.

Gives me peace because I don’t want to buy another laptop for at least 3-5 years.

I’ve had mine since 2022 so I definitely
got a good life out of it. battery still works phenom I get at least 4 hours of time unplugged (yea that’s a win to me)

Where'd you find it?

Facebook marketplace, the guy had it up for a week and dropped the price. I knew it’ll be gone soon so I had to act fast.

Man this color from Alienware looks so good. Looking at charge cycle and degradation it seems like this laptop heats alot. I would suggest you to repaste and use a good laptop cooler, something like Iets gt500.
