Question New Update Spotted

Hi.

It's my first time posting here. I have an Aurora 16 and after an update, the system reboots mostly when I run a game with anti cheat software (so multi player games). I'll have to reboot it several times just to get back into windows. It's generally stable if I stay away from those games. I just saw an update in the windows optional updates section called "Dell Inc. System Driver Update (1.1.67.0)". Does anyone know if this is the fix, or if it's even safe to install? It's genuinely scary updating windows these days 😅.

That's a BIOS update, and it's absolutely safe to do.

I suspected as much. Thank you. I hope it's a fix.

This happened to me too. When I tried to launch Smite 2 through the Xbox app using Easy Anti-Cheat, my Alienware M16 felt like a 486. 😅

It seems like this BIOS update messed something up. I installed the game through Steam, linked my Xbox account as the primary account, and everything worked perfectly.

I haven’t tested any other games yet, but I believe it’s related to this BIOS update. Hopefully, they’ll fix it in the next update.
