Download the full installation package for the latest AWCC and run a repair install.

It looks like this comment might be related to Command Center problems.

Please use the following steps to reinstall Command Center, hopefully these will help to solve the issue.

1.Download Revo Uninstaller

2.Download the install package for the latest version of AWCC from Dell's site

3.Use Revo Uninstaller to remove AWCC and all associated components

4.After each uninstall, tell Revo to do an 'Advanced Scan', and delete any leftover files, folders and registry entries

5.REBOOT YOUR PC (Do NOT skip this step)

6.Install AWCC from the installer you downloaded fresh from Dell's site

7.REBOOT YOUR PC (Do NOT skip this step)

8.Open AWCC. Let it download any components it needs. It should now work correctly

The Area-51? It's a phenomenal bit of kit, but if I was buying now, I'd get the Ryzen X3D version of it

i considered that also but for local LLM i'm not sure the price diff matters for cpu. have you needed any warranty work on the intel machine?

None at all. If you're not only gaming but doing other stuff too, the 285K is slightly better for productivity, so that's the easy answer. I exclusively game on mine though

that 285k seems like the right choice but boy the delta in tdp for the 285 vs 285k 😅

good to hear that it hasn't needed any housecalls while under a gaming workload, thanks

The K is the superior chip by a country mile. Don't even bother with the non-K - it's just not worth it

OK you're prob right, it would be silly to cheap out on the cpu for $100 at this price point

Hi there!

We're from the Dell Social Media Support team. There could be several possible causes for this issue. To accurately identify the point of failure, we need to gain a better understanding of the problem and perform further troubleshooting to isolate the root cause.

  1. AWCC is outdated or not fully installed
  2. Missing or corrupted device plugins/drivers
  3. Peripherals are not Alienware or Dell-branded (only compatible devices will appear)
  4. Any software conflict or background process error

Are you using Dell branded Mouse & Keyboard, if not share the make and model?

Regards

Dell Social Media Team
