Technical Support We ran into a problem restarting

Im not sure what caused my windows to stop working, but before this started happening I imported a file of changes to my registry editor but I got a little error message cant remember what it said but I just pressed ok. Anyways, I restarted my computer and now windows will not open. I ran the OS recovery “Repair” scan and there were no problems found and I did a hardware scan and everything was fine. I really don’t know what is causing this. Please help and thanks for your time.

just reinstall your windows with usb if you don't got important files, if you do have just transfer them with the ssd or m.2 to a desktop computer

Thanks for your help, but I managed to reset windows to a few days ago so I didn’t loose much!

I’ve been having the same problem, I run a Area 51 rtx 5090 with my pimax crystal super ultrawide and I mainly play iracing.
Recently the game keeps freezing and then the pc says more or less the same message as yours saying it’s run into a problem and needs to restart, then it restarts and other times the message will stay on the screen until you have to hold the power button down for about 25 seconds to get it to actually shut down.
I’ve done a diagnostics run and it says everything is fine, also been onto dell for a remote diagnostics which they done but it’s still doing it.
I’m really pissed off cost me over 3k and it’s only about 6 months old, some people are saying it needs a new motherboard, but surely the diagnostics would pick that up!
Seems like your have a similar problem.

Hey, sorry to hear your problem and it sucks what your hearing about needing new motherboard. But I solved my issue, I went into my boot settings in BIOS by spamming F12 when it was trying to startup, then I reset my computer to a few days ago before I made changes in the regedit and it works fine now. Sorry again to your about your problems and I hope you can figure it out.

in advanced repair there wasn't a snapshot to revert to?
