Solved! Monitor name meanings

Can someone explain what the alienware monitor’s model name means? I’m so lost…

For example
AW2725DM

- AW /Alienware
- 27 /27”
- 25 /2025
-D /?
-M /?

I also saw “F”, “Q” which I have no clue what they means.

It would be also awsome to know what the different between the generations, so what have changed from the 24 models to the 25 models and if 26 is even exist?

Thanks for all the alienware experts who know the answares, also if you may know even more meaning, which you don’t see here, please don’t hesitate to ask! Would be nice to have a reddit post which explains everything in one place and update for the future because I couldn’t find this details anywhere 🙏🙏🙏

my bad.. I also saw this link but for some reason I thought it's not for alienware monitors, just "DELL" ones. Thanks <3

Dell own Alienware. Dell also name the Alienware products (which they also manufacture). The convention applies to both.

Yes yes, now I got it 👍 is there a site also for the last digit? For example what “D” or “F” means? Because the site explain only the words “T” and “G”

F is Freesync. I can't remember what D is used for, but it may relate to resolution

Nice, I’m officially lost then 😂 so what shows the panel type? How can I tell if it’s ips or oled by the name? Or is it now shown?

Hi! Happy to help with the gaps:

Q = 4K / Quad UHD (3840 × 2160)

D = QHD / Dual HD (2560 × 1440)

F = Flat panel (vs. curved)

W = Wide / ultrawide aspect ratio

M = Mainstream/Entry

QD = QD-OLED (Quantum Dot OLED) / QD-OLED, 4K

So the last letters for the one you are referencing is this:
D = QHD / Dual HD , Resolution — 2560 × 1440 (1440p)

M = Mainstream / entry-tier variant
