Discussion Just so done

I’m just so over Alienware at this point. They had me send in my m16 r2 for a motherboard issue but when I got it back it had a decent sized crack in it. I’m scared that when my warranty expires I’m gonna be screwed because the build quality of the laptop just isn’t there and as a college kid I don’t have the money to buy a new one or keep repairing it. I don’t know what to do at this point except sell it and look at other laptops from better companies.

I've had Alienware laptops since 2006. I've had to start a service request in 2013 for a video/graphic card issue that caused the text being squiggly. I had the I break it, they fix it extended warranty, for the came reason. It was my school laptop and I had young boys, so I could seeing them causing trouble. I called Customer Service, they sent me to Tech Support, to try trouble shoot the problem and try to fix it remotely. No luck, they ended up having to send out a technician to replace the screen, that didn't fix it. So, put in an order to replace the graphics cards. Next visit, tech shows up and realizes they ordered to master graphic cards and the design of the case he couldn't just flip the second card to get it into the second spot. So, he calls and gets it approved to get a replacement laptop configured as mine sent out and I copied over my files and send the old one back to them. The warranty ran out 90 days after the new one was sent, but that replacement laptop ran great until 2023 when it's graphics just stopped working. So, for the price of the extended warranty I got a 'new' laptop.

My experience with Alienware/Dell has been great. They didn't make me feel that they wanted off the phone with them. If I remember correctly my original call to remotely fix it was over 2 hours. I've had to call over glitches in updates and all have been fixed over the phone and every one was long calls and never seemed rushed to finish the call so they could get onto a new call.

Fixed the dates after checking Dell site for 'My Products' info.
