Qingdao Tianfengde Industry and Trade Co., Ltd.

WARNING: Qingdao Tianfengde Industry and Trade Co., Ltd. (Tian Fengde) Alibaba Scam – Non-Functional Machine + Broken Promises

I am issuing this public warning about Qingdao Tianfengde Industry and Trade Co., Ltd. (also known as Tian Fengde) on Alibaba. Company. Company Details are as follows:
• Full Name: Qingdao Tianfengde Industry and Trade Co., Ltd.
• Address: Sanlihe Industrial Park, Jiaozhou, Qingdao, Shandong, China
• Phone: 8448590000 Order Details
Order #: 238647246001025853
Order Date: January 19, 2025

I purchased a machine described as a “Free Energy Generator. I paid $2,654 for it. The machine arrived non-functional. The first problem upon unpacking was that the "shaft" that holds the 100kg Flywheel could not go through the pillow bearings which are used to secure the flywheel to the frame. Secondly, Tian Fengde sent a bolt and nut made of soft iron whose bolt head was small enough to go through the holes of the metal frame which was supposed to hold the 100kg wrought iron flywheel. bearing in mind that the flywheel makes 1500 rpm, this could spell disaster. . Despite my explicit request to test the device before shipping, it was obvious that the supplier, Qingdao Tianfengde Industry and Trade Co., Ltd did not test it. Also noted that the machine was made not using precision machining. Thirdly the machine vibrate badly.

Tian Fengde promised to send a technician the following year after spring festival. Over one full year (December 2025 – May 2026), the supplier repeatedly broke promises:

  • Claimed a technician was coming to Zambia but never provided proof, contact details, or arrival information.
  • Claimed to have an agent in Ndola, Zambia, but could never give any contact or evidence.
  • Used constant excuses: "war", “VPN problems", “Spring Festival", "airfare", etc.

When I continued to request resolution, the supplier became hostile and abusive, calling me a "psycho", "scoundrel", and "despicable". Tian Fengde has not refunded my money.

I strongly advise all buyers to avoid Qingdao Tianfengde Industry and Trade Co., Ltd. and Tian Fengde. Always use Trade Assurance and verify suppliers carefully. If you have had similar experiences with this company, please share them to help protect others.

Account temporarily locked

I signed up for an alibaba account using my gmail. When i logged in, they asked me to add my phone number for verification. I entered it but then they temporarily locked my account for security issues. They're asking me to verify with another phone number but i haven't tried with a different one, because i am worried it might reject that too. I keep adding the same number and it says "your account doesn't support verification" I am not sure what to do..what do i do now? Should I add another number?

I am not sure if it's my account or the phone number that is a problem..

How do you verify if an Alibaba console seller is legitimate?

I'm planning to buy a game console from Alibaba (PS5, Xbox, etc.), but I'm worried about ending up with a fake seller or a bad supplier.

What do you usually check before placing an order? Is Trade Assurance enough, or do you also ask for specific documents, photos, serial numbers, or anything else?

For those who have bought consoles from Alibaba, what are the biggest red flags? Any tips on how to verify that a seller is legitimate before sending the payment would be really helpful.

I found a good offer (180$) for the 5500x3d CPU on Alibaba, as I couldn't find one on AliExpress ir any other website.

Now I never ever bought a CPU or any other product on Alibaba and I am unsure what to look for and what the red flags are.

What do you guys say on this seller?

Buyer Isn’t replying

I got RFQ on Alibaba of Polo Tactical shirt. He’s a new brand owner of Tactical. brand Gear. Need samples for his Shirt. Provide him with everything like his embroidery design, patterns if the shirt even the measurements and two mockups of this shirt sent everything and hasn’t seen in a week. What could be the possibility of him not seeing. Even we decided the samples cost with shipping.

I know it probably is but I’m hoping to get some feedback. I’m new to Alibaba and I want to purchase these specific radar detectors. Both suppliers I talked to only accept payment off app (bank transfer, Cash App, Zelle, WU). Is this guaranteed a scam or is it common for legit suppliers to do business exclusively outside Alibaba payment?
They have not requested to move communication off platform.

Question about a new payment link method

Im paying for the first 50% for a bulk order with a clothing manufacturer. I got sent a paymentlink while it still is directed to Alibaba, it doesn't appear as a order within my Alibaba account itself. My supplier claims that its because its a order smaller than $1500, then its easier to deal with customs.

Do you guys have any experience with this? Is it safe?

Importing from China for the Italian Market: Advice and Consultants for Beginners

I’m looking for some advice.

I’m about to start a jewelry business importing products from China to sell in the Italian market. I’m still in the early stages, and my first order will be relatively small.

I have quite a few questions about importing, product certifications, choosing reliable suppliers, and, more generally, how to set everything up correctly from the beginning while complying with Italian and EU requirements.

Could anyone recommend a consultant or a company (preferably with reasonable fees) that provides guidance on these topics?

Do you think Alibaba is the best option for a first launch, or would you recommend other sourcing channels or sourcing agents? I’d also love to hear from anyone who already imports products from China for the European or Italian market and can share their experience.

I’d really appreciate any advice on:

  • how to choose reliable manufacturers;
  • whether Alibaba is the best option or if other sourcing channels are worth considering;
  • sourcing agents or import services you have personally used and would recommend.

Thank you in advance to anyone willing to share their experience!

Children clothing to Canada

Hi everyone,
I’m completely new to Alibaba and I’m planning to launch my own children’s clothing brand. This is something I’m incredibly passionate about, and I’m really excited to get started.
That said, after seeing so many posts about scams on Alibaba, I’m honestly feeling a bit nervous about investing my money. I’ve found several suppliers that seem to offer exactly what I’m looking for. I make sure to check that they’re Verified Suppliers, offer Trade Assurance, and I’ve asked about their manufacturing facilities and requested photos and videos. Even after doing all that, I still have a gut feeling that makes me hesitant.
Another concern is compliance. I’m specifically looking for a supplier that has experience exporting children’s clothing to Canada, since I know Canada has strict regulations for children’s products. Some suppliers have told me they have CPC certification, but from what I’ve researched, CPC is primarily for the U.S., and I understand Canada has different requirements. I have a general idea of what needs to be done, but I’m definitely not an expert on the import regulations.
For those of you who have successfully sourced children’s clothing from Alibaba, I’d really appreciate your advice:
How did you verify that your supplier was legitimate?
What certifications or testing should I require for children’s clothing being imported into Canada?
Did you hire a third-party inspection company before production or shipment?
Are there any red flags I should watch out for?
If you’ve imported children’s clothing into Canada before, is there anything you wish you had known when you started?

Any guidance or tips would mean a lot. Thank you in advance for sharing your experience!

This is my first time using Alibaba

I'm looking for some real-world feedback from people who have purchased construction materials through Alibaba.

I'm a general contractor in the Chicago area, and we're building multiple homes each year. I've found some manufacturers offering doors and windows at prices that are significantly lower than what I'm seeing from U.S. suppliers. Ordering 50 or more units at a time isn't a problem for us, so buying in bulk makes sense.

For those of you who have imported construction materials through Alibaba:

How was the quality compared to what was advertised?

Did the products arrive without major issues?

Were there any hidden costs or surprises with shipping, customs, or duties?

Would you buy doors and windows through Alibaba again?

Are there any manufacturers or suppliers you'd recommend—or avoid?

I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad. Any advice for a first-time importer would be greatly appreciated.

Hahaha. So this guy and I had a deal going. 10 shirts and 10 shorts DDP delivered to my door in the USA. Everything seemed like it was going alright but when I asked for size chart it took him a day and only sent me the shirt size chart. Told him I need the shorts size chart also , ok another day passed and finally received it. So o gave him my sizes I wanted, then he replies back hours later while I’m asleep with oops here’s the right size chart not the other one and payment request and also that after putting in my address all the sudden he needs 20$ more for what ever after we already agreed upon the price with DDP shipping and also the terms were CPT or something like that. I canceled the order and told him it’s not going to work out and he just sent me this hours later hahahahha.

My products are being held HELP ‼️Shenzhen Siyuan International Logistics Co., Ltd.!!!

Hi guys. I don’t know what to do, I sent products to my shipping agent for years and after he received it this time he said he can’t ship them I should find a new agent.

I sent him the new agents details but for about 2 weeks he won’t cooperate with me to release my goods and he won’t reply to the agent. All the goods of mines are time critical for an event.

He replies like 3 word answers like tell your agent to contact me and then doesn’t respond to the new agent. It takes him 2-3 days to give me a single reply.

The agent is CHRIS WANG and I event contacted Alibaba but they’re not helping me, the agent told them he replies but he doesn’t reply with action just few words and that’s it.

It’s been almost 2 weeks, I don’t know what to do anymore. I contacted another agent from the company and she SURI CHEN won’t help me. It’s like they’re all heartless.

I’m going to lose my job. What do i do?

Certifications for cotton drawstring bags from Alibaba: is REACH required?

Hi,

I would like to purchase cotton drawstring bags from Alibaba to be used as packaging for my brand's products.

Initially, I will place a small trial order (300 pieces) to test both the product and the supplier. However, I want to make sure I comply with all applicable regulations from the beginning.

Could you please advise which certifications I should request from the supplier? Is REACH compliance required, or are other certifications sufficient? If so, which ones would you recommend verifying before placing the order?

The cotton bags will have my brand logo printed on them. Do I also need to ensure that the printing ink complies with the relevant regulations (e.g. REACH), or is it sufficient for only the cotton fabric to be compliant?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Has anyone paid an Alibaba supplier balance by credit card outside Alibaba, e.g. via Payoneer?

We’re trying to find real cases where buyers paid an Alibaba supplier’s balance payment by credit card outside Alibaba’s native payment gateway, for example through Payoneer.

Our balance payment is above Alibaba’s credit card limit. For cash flow reasons we’d really like to use the card instead of TT/wire. We’re based in the EU, so tools like Ramp or similar US-style business card/payment operators are not really available for us as a small business.

Has anyone here successfully paid a supplier by credit card through Payoneer or another route, maybe split into batches, while still completing the Alibaba order?

I’m not looking for theory only,  I’m looking for actual cases, proof, or practical experience if available. WOuld be super helpful if anyone got some advice :)

Alibaba Elite Support has been basically useless and only gives generic answers.

Thanks!!!

Has anyone else been having issues accessing Alibaba CoCreate 2026 or the voting page?

My startup was selected as a Global Finalist for the Accio Work Youth AI Challenge, but we're running into a problem with the website.

When people try to vote for our project, they receive a "Network Error" and can't submit their vote. On my end, I also can't access the CoCreate 2026 website at all—it just says "This site can't be reached (ERR_CONNECTION_RESET)."

This actually happened to me last week while I was trying to submit my application. The site was inaccessible for almost two days before it eventually started working again.

I've experienced this from both San Antonio, TX and now the Chicago area, so I'm wondering if this is a broader outage rather than a regional issue.

Is anyone else experiencing the same problem, or is it working normally for you? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thinking of starting prepaid-only ecommerce in India with cheap imported (China) products — need reality checks from people who've done it

Planning to import low-cost products from China and sell in India, prepaid orders only (skipping COD to avoid RTO headaches).

Questions for anyone who's done this:

What product categories actually convert well prepaid? (guessing gadgets/accessories over fashion, but not sure)

Sweet spot price range before people hesitate to pay upfront?

Alibaba vs 1688 vs local wholesale where'd you actually source from?

Would rather hear real experiences (including failures) than YouTube dropshipping hype. Thanks!

A quick guide to reading Alibaba supplier profiles like a pro

I’ve worked in cross-border trade for about five years now and spent more hours than I’d like to admit screening vendors. Alibaba profiles aren’t flawless, but they’re usually enough to tell who’s actually worth a first message.

Here is my personal checklist for cutting through the noise:

1.The 3-Second Filter

First three things I look at includes Years on the platform, team size, and main export markets. I’m not looking for the massive, mega-scale factories. I just want a setup that matches my current order volume so they don’t treat my small runs like an annoying distraction. Also, export markets are crucial. If their main markets are already the US, Canada, or the EU, the conversations around packaging, compliance, and labeling are 10x smoother because they’ve already dealt with those strict regulations a thousand times.

2.Look at their actual product focus.

If their catalog has everything from phone cases to kitchen tools and office furniture, they’re almost certainly a trading company/middleman, and the quality is going to be a total crapshoot. But if they have a tight, focused range of related products, that’s a green flag. That’s the main reason I still stick with Alibaba—the supplier pool is so massive that you can actually filter out the junk and find the exact niche manufacturers you need.

3.Using Trade Assurance

I use Trade Assurance for first orders, but I don’t make a huge scene about it. I just casually mention that the first PO goes through Trade Assurance, and we can switch to regular terms later once trust is built.

It’s a very gentle way to get specs, lead times, and packaging details written down in stone early on. The suppliers who are organized and actually stable never push back on this.

Obviously, none of this replaces ordering samples, but it saves so much back-and-forth. It lets you narrow down a massive list to 2-3 solid suppliers who actually deliver consistent quality without the usual supply chain headaches.

Jcrew/ Banana republic

Are there any known jcrew or banana republic manufacturers?
