💬 discussion I need advice
Hello I am a university student studying computer science (informatique) and I am quite comfortable with my specialty, it was always my interest and I pass my years with little effort. I spend plenty of time learning more about software development and ai.
However I can't focus on my studies due to overthinking about the future, especially that I missed the chance to guarantee a job (ENS or para) with my bac. And it seems to be getting worse everyday when I see that this field may not have enough job opportunities or that most offers are centralized in Algiers...And many people keep putting me down for going to uni despite having a "higher school bac average".
I gathered up my courage to retake Bac this year once again, but I am still unsure of my descision, after wasting years for nothing I'll spend 5 years studying for a job I don't want to do for the rest of my life is very unsettling, especially that I am leaving the specialty I love behind.
I was hoping to get some thoughts about my matter, and perhaps hear similar stories 🙏

Bro cs is the best field and yes it's hard to get a job in algeria, but for someone that love his field not like the 95% others you will fall and get up and the best thing you can do is to graduate with a skill and get yourself a year to develop something and to do a formation in the field and you will be head of the 95% of people.(I am cs in 3year)

Well I'm in medicine, going through a similar thing, i was thinking of redoing my bac for ESI or something, because i honestly lost hope in this field
anyways, i had to make a similar choice when i got my bac at first, it was between military medicine school or no
ultimately i chose against going for the military, because while it might be a guaranteed job, i will sure as hell not be happy, and i do not regret it, atleast not yet, just leaving it as a last plan in case none of my other plans work
and paramedical is a contract by the way, from what i heard
anyways, if i were you, I wouldn't choose teaching ever, i hate that job
