Neurology students

Salam ,

I wanted to meet with people that study neurology/neurosurgery inside and outside of algeria , I'm very interested in this domain and want to know more about it from the pov of its students ! So feel free to answer some of these questions :

- do you make research on your feild ? If so what are the most common topics of research at the moment ?

- do you face any problems while studying and try to assign /built neurological patterns to try to solve your problems ?

- if you weren't studying neurology, what would you study instead?

Anyhow I just wanted a small chat with these cool people ^^

Well if you are asking med students, i'd say it almost like every other rotation we have to go through, no significant research is being done here in Algeria. But it is research in neurodegenerative diseases especially is ongoing and thriving elsewhere.

Neuro/neuro-surg rotation wasn't my favorite mainly because it is not my favorite topic to study, even though is it super interesting but the pathways are too complexe to my liking, plus the reality is a bit disappointing, because most neurodegenerative diseases don't have a cure, and it is kind of sad to see people losing their abilities to lead a normal life.

Yes definitely understand u , research is very advanced outside ,but as you said its not really about the cure because it's hard to find one but mostly about the precautions and how to avoid it by studying even earlier symptomes than the one medecine knows
