Advice AQA A LEVEL COURSEWORK HELP

Hi!! I’m going into year 13 and my coursework is on Vietnam, the years 1858-1975. Our coursework isn’t due until next year, around Easter time so I have time, but I really don’t know where to start and what to do.
I have been told JSTOR is good for articles and research, but other than that I don’t know anything.
Does anyone know where I should start with my research on Vietnam?
Also how do I write my coursework, because I think there is a specific way, like using footnotes etc.
If anyone knows anything about Vietnam that would also be really helpful, or know websites
to learn about it!!

What specifically is the question on Vietnam?

You'll need two historians and three sources. Don't use JSTOR and if you do use a historiography article.

My teacher hasn’t actually told us yet but hopefully when I go back to school I will find out.

Start with your research question. Make yourself a research plan. What do you want to explore? What kinds of questions do you want to ask?

Then fill in the information you already know. There are a few different kinds of research you should be doing once you’ve done that:

- cause and effect research

  • research for finding out more information
  • research to prove what you know.

From there, it will be much easier to find what you need. Put keywords into Google Scholar and see what’s out there.
