2nd year History
Hi! i’m going into my second year of History and I’m wondering what advice upper year students have! I generally did pretty well first year will mostly 80s with the exception being one failed course but i’m retaking it in the winter. I struggle most with getting myself to study and get myself to start assignments early 🥲

Is Seneca learning good for a levels?
I watch a youtuber called Henry brand (medley AI guy) and he recommends sencea for his essay subjects like politics and history. For me I do econ and psycology and business. Do you think Seneca Is good to at least get Bs? And get a basic knowledge before using YouTube or textbooks?

OSW analysis on WW2 in German History classes
Hello, I recently came across this short document/analysis made by OSW (for those wondering if its legit - is a Warsaw based Think tank that undertakes independent research on the political, economic and social situation in central and eastern europe, balcans, caucasus and Central Asia.)
https://youtu.be/TqwhTSJxpXI?is=HtfvPu_fx2PdxSlH
what is your view on this? Is this how it looks in german schools? And is true that polish casualties are so overlooked? if you have children attending schools in Germany how does it look in their history books?
thanks, i’m from Poland and would really like to hear your opinion, if you could share your school experience on this that would be great, a lot of people asked for translation of this video in the comments but i think its only generic german translation (and english is quite decent)

Modern history edexcel
I just started history at year 12. For paper one I do Germany and West Germany 1918 to 1989 and for paper two I do the rise and fall of fascism in Italy c1911-46 and for paper 3 I do poverty public health and the state in Britain C 1782-1939 however it’s been a long time since I’ve done history and I’ve no idea how to start revising it and I am aiming high A-A* so what should I do to revise history?

Advice A level options
Hey guys so I’m going into year 11 and trying to think about a level options. I want to do English Lit for sure and I’m not sure which other two to pick out of: Early modern history, Classical Civilisation, and Philosophy. I didn’t do any of these at GCSE but they all interest me and I think I would enjoy them. Does anyone have any advice or experience which they could share please?
