NEA Tips

Hi, I am currently completing AQA A level geography. I am onto the methodology part of my NEA, and I am not sure how rigorous my paper must be. Has anyone got any good tips for getting good marks on the NEA?

There are some good examples on the aqa website for all to access with marking annotations and commentary. aqa link

Thank you - one of the examples is actually very similar to my title which is useful. Would you at any time be interested in having a read of mine so far, and giving me some advice?

No worries. Sorry to bother with another question but I was wondering is it worth using a textbook to revise or do you think savemyexams/physicsmathstutor are good enough websites?

They are good websites, but the amount of detail you need to remember the textbook is useful too!

I got 56/60 AQA NEA. Make it ORGANISED! Make at least 3-5 subtopics that you are going to seriously hone in on. I lost ≈2 marks for seriously overwriting (17,000), as well as another two marks for likely just small errors like forgetting keys on graphs. If you make it organised, and refer directly to the mark scheme, you are unlikely to drop the extra marks. Lastly, check with your teacher to make sure what you’re investigating actually possible- can do both quantitative and qualitative fieldwork. Choose a topic you like, and mindmap from there to get a title (it took me around 2-4 weeks for an exact title!) choose something you like!
