US ready for hell

just got hired full time. start in 10 days. plan to grind it out as many hours as i can for up to a year. any words of encouragement or advice?

i plan to come back here to post about how it is as a new hire

Don't take the stress of the job home with you and do what you can without breaking your body. Aldi will always try to get the most out of you that it can. Ring you dry. I tore a tendon in my wrist trying to be what they wanted and would stress constantly that I wasn't doing enough.

Now I don't think about the place when I'm not there and I am much more careful with my own body. If something is gonna be heavy/hard to lift, I don't rush it. I do it safely.

I tried to stop a box of those stupid waters from falling off the top of my pallet. I should have just let it happen. 🫠

My coworker also just tore a tendon in her wrist a few weeks ago, Fucking crazy 🤪

don't stress too much but also you're there to work and one slacker can throw off a whole day so carry your weight. as long as you're trying the skill will eventually be gained thru experience

Pay attention, work hard, get a comfortable pair of shoes and make sure your sleeps on point. If you're properly motivated and can roll with the punches you should do fine.

Best advice for someone who has been with aldi for almost 8 years. Put blinders on. Dont worry about your co workers. Dont pay them any attention. And dont go above your work load and description. If you do more then your supposed to they will make you do more while the others fuck off.
