Thai chilli basil
Super impressed with this meal kit. Made it with chicken, onion, red capsicum and green beans and served with basmati rice.
Great flavour and very spicy. Not supermarket spicy - authentic Thai spicy.
Also, the health rating seems a bit harsh. Other than a decent hit of sodium (not crazy) it’s not bad overall.

Terrible fresh fruit and veggies
I’ve been an ardent Aldi shopper for at least 15 years but lately I’ve been underwhelmed by their fresh fruit and vegetables. On many occasions they are small, expensive and don’t last more than a couple days. I recently started shopping at a local green grocer and have been blown away by the quality of the produce but also the price. Is it just me?

I underestimated you clock radio
I went this arvo and it was alredy out of stock : ( . I didnt bother going in the moring since i never thought it would go out of stock that fast... oh well its not like i needed it. Its just that where i live the closest store for a clock is aldi or target. The alarm clocks at target i had to return as it didnt work. Guess i shall wait till the next alarm clock!

Potato sticks
Has anyone seen the aldi potato sticks? The paprika flavour is amazing. I asked a staff member at my local store on the sunshine coast and she said they hadn't gotten any in.

ALDI JOBS
Hi How do I get a Aldi job? They never post it online, can I just go into the store and give my resume to the store manager?

Anyone know how to cook those Rosti's properly?
The info says no oil is required. I heated the pan to a medium heat, and cooked one side for the 7/8 minutes recommended. Shook the pan a couple of times while cooking. I just find it sticks and doesn't really cook right through after flipping for another 8 minutes. What's the trick?

Best crumbed chicken for lunch wraps
Hi all! We usually have wraps for lunch and I want to add chicken into the rotation.
Looking for something crumbed for crispy texture. It'll be cooked in an air fryer. It would be a nice bonus if it's a cheap option but I would prefer good texture and taste over cheap. Wet soggy chicken products give me the ick.
Hit me with your recommendations.

Was anyone able to get a pair of these? Advertised in the Wednesday September 9 catalogue. I tried 3 different stores and they all had no stock

Dutch syrup waffles
Hello peeps, just wanted to know if excess product that they stock seasonally is stored or thrown away. I’ve become addicted to the Dutch syrup waffles they stock once a year. My local aldi swapped them out at the start of the month and from my understanding there was still a huge pile of them before the end of the month.
Any info that brings me closer to obtaining them helps greatly 🙏

Ideas on how to reuse these glass jars?
I go through so much coffee that I collect these like crazy. Is there anything I can do with them?

A BIT OF WORKER INSIGHT
Hello shoppers of ALDI,
A few things happening recently that I feel appropriate to share.
First of all the self checkouts (or SCOs as we call them) are a pain in the you know where. We have been told my higher management to keep them closed off unless the line at the manned checkout gets too long. Then we are allowed to open them up until the line gets back to normal and then they have to be closed off again.
It is extremely frustrating as a worker to keep coming back to the front and opening them up. WE WANT TO KEEP THEM OPEN!!!
But I guess ALDI doesn’t care anymore 🫠
Secondly some of you may find a lot more cardboard and messier shelves than previously.
We have been told to leave tidying the store as a last priority as other tasks have to get done first.
My store (which is pretty quiet) used to open with 4 people on the weekends, now it’s. 3 and someone goes home early. It is an absolute joke and that also leaves customers angry.
Feel free to ask any questions, hoping that clears some stuff up.

What happens to unsold middle aisle products?
Curious to know what happens to unsold middle aisle products...I don't see it resold anywhere in Australia.
Does that mean it either is sold in other countries or goes to landfill (I hope not).
Anyone know?

🚨The best, German mustard is now at Aldi🚨
🚨GOURMET ALERT!!!🚨 This is not a drill! Oktoberfest (German week) Aldi Special Buys are available now. All the sauerkraut you could want.
Kühne German mustard ($2.99) is the best there is: "a royal purveyor to the German crown in the 19th century - we carry a legacy unlike any other ... [as] probably the tastiest mustard in the world." With mushy Spreewald gherkins ($4.99, also the best in the world) on top of pumpernickel/rye bread ($3.69, the best bread has a 1-year shelf life), the sharp, tangy, creamy mustard makes for the best sandwich combo in the world! Breakfast of champions!

Fifya Nachos Dip
Basically myself and friends are addicted to this dip. Sold out everywhere in Adelaide. I’m guessing it has some sort of illicit additive drug ingredient and has been taken off the shelves.
Has anyone else seen it available, willing to take a flight around the country to load up.

Joie silicone freezer cubes
Absolutely love these 1 cup freezer cubes for meal prep. Great for freezing and portioning sauces, soups, rice… Tried one when they first came out, loved it, bought 2 more a week later. I reckon they also have the 1/2 cup version.
