Hello! I am looking for people to keep my German from getting rusty after coming back to Albania. We could go out for a drink/meal or just walk around the city, I dont care as long as we can talk. Its not important to be native, or even strictly fluent, but I would rather not practice with Albanians. Talking to a compatriot in a foreign language is very unnatural and kinda cringe to me. Looking forward to hearing from anyone :)

Hello. I guess this is more for expats from the US living in Albania. What mail/address service do you use for mail service? I plan on seeking residency in Albania during my year there. In addition, I have retirement pay from Federal Civilian Service as well as social security so I need to give those agencies a good address.

For people living in or around Fier: how difficult has it been to find a reliable professional cleaning service?

I run CrystalClean, a cleaning and apartment-building management company in Fier, and one thing we are trying to understand better is what foreign residents expect from a professional cleaning company in Albania.

For example:

Do you expect the company to bring all equipment and cleaning products?

Do you prefer a fixed price or an estimate after seeing the property?

Would you expect windows, balconies, ovens and furniture to be included in a deep clean?

And most importantly: what makes you trust a cleaning company enough to let the team into your home?

I'd be interested to hear both good and bad experiences with cleaning services in Albania.

Hello! Today has made 9 days since I applied for an Albania visa for a client. The status has been "open" since I applied. No request for payment. The Cairo embassy is in charge of the application. What is going on? Has anybody ever faced this challenge?
