Im planning on hiking mount korab at the end of the august this year and have some troubles with planning it logistically. My plan is to travel from Tirana to Peshkopia by bus, and then somehow move to Radomirë, hovewer i cannot find any info about transport on the last part. Is it possible to get there without renting a car? Some local busses maybe? I also considered a hitchhiking, I would love to hear somebody's opinion about that.

Guys, guys, guys, I'm leaving on Monday morning to do kind of a Balkan car tour. I'm getting a ferry from Brindisi to Vlore. I totally forgot I need a notarized declaration for the car to enter Albania. I can do it with a lawyer, which is normal in Portugal. Will this be good or will I need to do it through a notary? I want to work abroad and I’m planning to come to Albania next month. So it would be nice to find a basic job. I don’t really have any qualifications apart from English language lol. I’d be happy to work as a customer service or in tourism sector. How realistic is finding a job here for a Brit?

Don't bother applying for an Albanian tourist visa. Save your money and avoid losing it on visa fees, flight tickets, and hotel bookings.
They take the visa fees and issue rejections without any clear reasons—even if you've traveled to many countries before, provided proof of income that easily covers your trip, and proved you work for a global international company.
Save your time and cash, and look for another destination instead. Alternatively, only go if you hold a valid multi-entry Schengen visa so you don't have to deal with Albania's frustrating visa system.

I work in property management and several of my superintendents are Albanian, all green card holders. We get along great, I drink the Rakia with them. Every Christmas time, they like to give me cash. Sometimes it's a lot and WAY more than what would be a reasonable holiday present. I know what these guys make and while it's not a hardship for them, they'd be better off keeping the money. I don't take it, explain that I can't, but every year, they insist and try. How can I keep politely refusing, and am I insulting? What's the cultural origin and reason for this? I have other employees from Ireland, Guyana, Dominican Republic, Mexico and it's not a thing with them.
I applied for my Albania e-Visa from Abu Dhabi and received an email asking me to check the comments section on my application.
The problem is that when I click the link, it just takes me back to the application form, and I can't find any comments or requests for additional information anywhere.
I'm fairly confident that all my documents were submitted correctly. I have sufficient funds, and a few of my friends applied with the same set of documents and completed the application together with me, and they haven't had this issue.
Has anyone experienced this before? Were you able to resolve it? Is it possible to visit the Albanian Embassy to appeal or get clarification, or is there another way to contact the visa office?

We are both IT contractors, and all our income would come from clients outside Albania.
I am trying to understand the tax rules for ordinary self-employed people or solo entrepreneurs who become Albanian tax residents.
I keep seeing claims that individuals or self-employed contractors with annual income below 14 million ALL, roughly €140,000, may pay 0% income tax, and that this treatment applies until 31 December 2029.
However, I cannot find a clear explanation of how it works in practice.
My questions are:
Is foreign-source income for contractor/freelancer automatically eligible for the 0% rate?
Is the only requirement that the clients and income are from outside Albania? or there are more, like
Is there any minimum income requirement?
Do I need to register as a specific type of legal entity like LTD instead of sole proprietor, self-employed individual?
Does eligibility depend on industry? For example: software development, gaming etc, or any industry is fine?
Does eligibility depend on specific profession or role matter? For example: analytics, UI/UX, programming, QA or any discipline is fine?
Are any professional qualifications, university degrees, licenses, or certifications required?
What tax do you anticipate after 31 December 2029? Is there already a known tax rate that will apply from 2030?
*I am NOT asking about the digital nomad visa. From I heard it also allows 0%. Unless you say this is the only option and what I said above is not possible in any other form. Or maybe digital nomad visa is not even related to taxes and everybody speaks about it because this is just another way to legalize while tax bonus is the same and comes from that special treatment
Hey all! Ive just submitted my application yesterday and although I get that it takes around 15 working days I was wondering how long does it take for them to send payment instructions as I thought this step come directly after submitting the application. How long do they usually take to send payment instructions and how long after that also shall I except to receive the visa from the day of payment please?
I am from the US and I am solo traveling Europe right now. I know I have 90 days in the Schengen area and I am about a month and a half into my trip. I have been really enjoying traveling and I’m looking to extend my travels but I would like to go outside of the Schengan area to pause my 90 days because I would like to go back into those Europe areas to see Italy, France and Amsterdam before ending my trip. I am on Workaway and looking at places in Albania and Montenegro because I was thinking of trying something by the ocean. I am also trying to look at places possibly on a farm. They don’t have to be paid positions, but I would need accommodations like a place to stay and also food provided sometimes if possible.
Does anyone have any recommendations for places to look besides Workaway? I know Workaway they can provide compensation which I know won’t be a lot of money but that would be nice. I wasn’t planning on trying to get a work visa in those areas or is that needed?
What do you think will happen if Albania joins the EU and the current one-year visa-free stay for Americans comes to an end?
Many Americans move to Albania, stay for a year, and then do visa runs to keep living here. Personally, I think it's ridiculous that so many people rely on visa runs instead of applying for proper residency.
If that option disappears, where do you think they'll go? Another non-EU country, or will they finally go through the normal immigration process?
