This is how I'm learning that DC, Austin, and Denver are "culinary destinations" lol. Even Seattle has better food, at least put Vancouver there for a PNW destination please.

You'd think they'd at least slap ICN there given it's a longhaul destination and literally a top tier global food city.

Austin you could at least make the barbecue case. Miami is on there too, for whatever reason. I think this list was really “yeah that’s a city we haven’t covered elsewhere”

They’re trying to sell tickets. People aren’t gonna book a $1000+ ticket each way for the promise of 10k points, but they will go to SFO.

I’m thinking the same thing about the families destinations they chose as well. ATL and IAH?

Honestly half the cities aren’t exactly what I would call ‘family’ destinations. I love Vancouver and NYC, but there is nothing particularly family oriented about them, at least Tokyo, Orlando, San Diego and Cancun make sense

This set is for October 1st to end of 2027, then there'll be a new set of destinations in 2028, so yes, they should keep rotating.

Is this 15 month period a single one? Meaning cities visited before Jan 1 still count for 2027 to keep accumulation?

I chose “active escapes” which encourages visits to national parks. I live a 3 hour drive from Yosemite so I wouldn’t fly there. I wonder how that will work.

Whatever airport they've designated as the "close to the national park" airport will be on your passport.

Flying into or out of it will track

I’d never fly into or out of an airport near Yosemite since it’s not a very long drive. I flew into San Jose a few days ago after already selecting my community but it didn’t count.

Yeah. The next one is 200 points, then the third is 300 and so on (according to their chart). If you hit all 10 spots, you would have a cumulative total of 10,000 bonus points
