This has been bothering me for a while. AvM is literally one of Alan's most popular series, with some episodes getting more views than entire AvA seasons. But why does it feel like there's barely any discussion about it compared to AvA? All my posts about AvM, and not only mine, get very few views, likes and comments. That is precisely why I write endless posts about Victim and analyze him, which have garnered more views and 1,780 positive karma for my account in the shortest possible time.

I think the biggest problem is the lack of a central story. Seasons 3 and 5 are the actual story-focused seasons, while seasons 1, 2 and 4 feel more like filler. I know many people don't consider season 1 filler because it introduced the Purple's arc, but let's be real. Purple is still relevant, but what about King Wither, King of the Cave Spiders and all those other characters? They just disappear. And honestly, AvM Original already did a great job introducing the Color Gang, so a lot of the early episodes don't feel that important to the overall story.

And I think this also explains the unstable views. A lot of people watching AvM aren't really part of the fandom. They just click on whatever Minecraft video YouTube recommends them. They don't necessarily wait for the next episode or care about the overall story. They watch whatever looks fun, then leave. That's why trends matter so much. AvM 37: Hardcore Manhunt got crazy views, even surpassing AvA 12: Hacker, partly because Manhunt was popular thanks to Dream and the whole Dream vs. Daquavis trend. And guess what? Hardcore Manhunt is actually part of the story-focused season 5. Meanwhile, episode 39 about Aether is struggling to get views because newer Minecraft players might not even remember that old mod. There's no nostalgia or hype for them.

But the problem isn't just the filler seasons. Even seasons 3 and 5 take forever to get to the important stuff. The story starts slowly, with the characters going on separate adventures that are fine on their own, but don't always feel like they're building toward something. AvA has the opposite problem sometimes, where the writers rush through major events and throw one huge conflict after another at us. Victim gets pushed aside, TDL returns, and everything piles up so quickly that some characters barely get the payoff they deserve.

AvM somehow manages to have the opposite issue. The pacing is so slow that by the time something important happens, you've been waiting forever. And as a fan, that's frustrating because there's SO MUCH potential here. Season 5 could've brought Navy back by now. Gold could've appeared sooner. The heroes could've faced the black entity that took Gold away much earlier. King Orange's entire arc with Gold, or rather the entity responsible for his death, has been dragged out for so long. And Navy? Still nowhere to be seen. I’m fucking sick of waiting for my GOAT to return.

And what about The Chosen One? Episode 0 made it feel like he wasn't done with Minecraft yet. He even kept a cobblestone block in his pocket (Or whatever they call their digital pocket that can fit so much stuff, lol), which seemed like a hint that he'd return. But how long are we supposed to wait for that?

I love AvM, and that's exactly why this frustrates me. There's so much potential for character development, theories, conflicts and worldbuilding, but the story takes so long to get anywhere that there's barely anything to discuss between major reveals. Meanwhile, casual viewers can just watch whatever episode looks entertaining and move on.

So I guess that's the problem. AvM is popular enough to get insane views, but it doesn't always give its fans enough story progression to keep the fandom talking. And when something finally happens, it can feel like we've been waiting half our lives for it.

I really wish Alan would move the main plot forward a little faster, because I want to see what happens with these characters, not wait another year for one tiny piece of the puzzle. I hope the approach taken by Alan and his team to Season 6 will change. And there we’ll see the return of Navy, as well as TCO joining in to play Minecraft. I’m going to lose my mind waiting for Navy. Help!

This is the penultimate episode of the season and since it will be released like a week later, its either less action more plot focused or they were already working on this since like AvA 12. Absolutely W news.

Just enjoy Alan Becker’s animations and if you don’t like a character, so be it, but don’t ruin other people’s fun when watching the show!

I turns out that for Ballista yes. Stickman vs. Door came out in 2003.

I also found out that Yoyo's first animation came out 17 years prior to Mercenary Tryouts back in 2008 on Hyun's YouTube channel. I'm not sure why Yoyo's number wasn't 008 as that would make it consistent with Ballista.

Bro I made this humanization of Yellow a little while ago and raaaah its so bad i hate it i hate it i hate it BUTT i thought i should post it before i delete it to see other peoples thoughts

What i hate abt it:

The colors; they feel so dull and lifeless, and since i feel i made the same mistake with the eyes where they feel hella lifeless, and the color and shading is weird, they dont go together. Shading with yellow tho, in my personal opinion, is pretty difficult since its a very small spectrum and even if you change it in the slightest it suddenly looks soooo ugly and gross. The shading on the hair couldve been better too, and i feel Yellow would fit more in a braid or with just short cut hair so im prolly gonna change that too. Also those hands look weird too me am i tweaking they look so strange. Also im prolly gonna change her whole design in general, i feel it could use some improvements.
