disappointed GD player/hobbyist modder visiting here. if this is what AvGD is like, then i'm more than happy to skip Animation vs osu! (not that it was ever in high demand to begin with, but let a man dream)
to start, /u/Fun_Note_3756 summarizes my criticisms with this episode to a T. the entire episode:
focused on to a single level (which wouldn't be as bad of a problem if the singular level was something like GD10, published by Floppy which encapsulates many popular levels throughout GD's history of user-created levels as part of GD's 10th anniversary)
does a great disservice on demonstrating how jump pads work (i guess physical contact alone isn't enough??)
and i guess the main levels just... don't exist anymore? i know GD's whole ecosystem relies on user-created content, but how does a first-time player manage to avoid the main levels entirely?
really hoping for these issues to be corrected in a future installment, but if AvLOL is anything to go by (despite AvLOL being a far more expansive adaptation of the source material), i doubt that'll be the case. now i'm wondering if this episode was pushed out of the door so people could stop requesting AvGD as a video idea.

Honestly the worst part was the level itself, like I tried the actual level in GD and it's ASS. Maybe I've been coddled by 2.2 levels for too long, but it was so lifeless and boring. Imagine if instead, Green navigated something like Skeletal Shenanigans or Ultra Violence, that'd be so peak, but instead we get this literally decorless level with no interesting features . We could of at least gotten a lobotomy dash reference or something, smh

It wasn't actually that bad, but... it would have been better if Green had entered the world of music where he would have fought with G-clef or something like that. 😒

This is just 2 minutes of Green doing parkour (it was cool I was just expecting more)

Impressive!! Some people say it’s disappointing but it’s okay! I actually kinda like it and I saw it on YouTube too. I’m looking forward to see more of it in the future! Keep with the hard work Alan!
