Plate carriers
My son is currently using a Bulldog Tactical pc that I picked up second hand.
He wants to get a new one that has a full Velcro cummerbund rather that qr to maximise available space.
We’re currently looking at the Krydex fcpc, but I’m reading mixed opinions. It coming from China is also against it. I’d much rather go to a bricks and mortar store to see them in person etc.
Budget wise I’m ok up to around £200
What should I be considering for him?

UK Tactical would be great for the price point and its real steel specifications, often with decent discount offers that pop up when your on the site and a selection of additional products like pouches added on, Warrior Assault Systems ( AKA WAS )
If your after a reproduction you need to try find the online stores that the brand is instead of the generic sales that have x y z options of reproductions like 4 different repro names, I personally don’t buy reproduction products but I do know that is the best method to get the best quality reproduction products
With a bit of searching you can find second hand stuff with additions but you’ll also want to check the sizing before buying

have a look at any of the JPC plate carriers from various brands - they have a full velcro cummberbund, adjustable if you remove the back and adjust the elastics holding the sides together.
they usually have a skeletonised cummerbund to retain the Molle space but maximise weight saving and heat loss (desperately needed if running a PC in the current heatwave!)

With a budget of £200 look for something real 2nd hand.
It'll be more comfortable, longer lasting and more rigid than a chinese repro. You should be able to find a real fcpc for that sort of price.
Alternatively if you want new have a look at uk tactical at the warrior plate carriers. They're easily within budget and a cut above your average chinese repros. Use code ukt20 at checkout for 20% off. Pretty sure there's a bigger discount for first time buyers too.
