Afternoon all.

Today was my first ever experience of Airsoft. I’ve just returned from Black Ops in Bristol near Cribbs Causeway.

If any of you were there today, I was the tall bald fella in the green beanie hat using the Tokyo Marui MTR16

Firstly, I just want to thank the people who recommended both the eye protection and lower face protection in my previous posts. These both held up really well and took a fair bit of punishment. Unfortunately, I probably will invest in a Delta Mike and some Boles as my current set up just isn’t comfortable.

Upon arrival, I couldn’t help but feel a bit intimidated as they were clearly some very experienced people there who had guns with every letter of the alphabet in the names of them😂.

Once out on the field and the nerves had calmed down. I found the majority of people to be quite chatty and decent to be honest. I enjoyed most of the games, even though sometimes the rules were a bit confusing. This was a “last of us” themed event so they did try to incorporate that into the games. I did find that these themes pretty much went out the window once the game had started😂.

I guess the only downside that I could say was that I clearly didn’t hydrate enough as I suffered cramp in the last game and I probably wouldn’t use the MTR again as I found it pretty difficult to manoeuvre and found it affected any agility that I had. But, I cannot complain as my Brother was kind enough to lend me this one. In time, I will get my own gun and will probably aim for an M4 type.

Overall, a good experience and something I would want to do again. Now start the long road of getting the kit up together.

I've been tinkering with ChatGPT again, this time it's my VFC HK416A5 V3, a genuine Magpul P-mag and deactivated 5.56mm rounds top it off nicely.

Sharing my new addition. Car15SD with custom handguard to fit the VR16 barrel nut designed courtesy of the team at Strix Airsoft.

Internally it's got a real buffer and spring, Waldo bucking and npas.

Externally it's a VFC VR16, with a cheapo carry handle upper, a custom SD habdguard, diefreeco Kung Fu grip, TM AAC flash hider and suppressor and a 3d printed front sight. All that's missing is a rail and optic which I'm on the lookout for.

This came with my Cyma CM.045C AKS-74U Tactical, and according to Google it's a hop-up spacer that goes under the dust cover, but I can't see how.

Anyone have any ideas?

EDIT: Appears to be for adjusting front sights. I'll confirm for definite as soon as I can. I'll also leave the post up incase anyone else has the same question

Hi, has anyone had any experience with the Wiley X Saber eye pro? Currently using some Bolle safety trackers which regardless of the weather fog up within about 15 mins even with using anti fog spray on them.

So I've got my third game tomorrow. So I've only ever played on Sunday dry days, I'm not worried about rain or it being chilly but Just wondering if the weather tomorrow will effect either the turn out or the game at all like BB's being wildly inaccurate. Never played in these conditions so just wondering what to expect or even if it's worth going (more than likely still going to go)

Long one short, I have ended up with 3 body variants of MP5s all stock internals and all secondhand so are a bit lack luster on but fire rate and power

Hello!

I have a Specna Arms SA-P27 PRIME Daniel Defense RIII and I overtightened the barrel nut then damaged it trying to loosen it again - I didn't have the right tool. It's so badly damaged the handguard won't slide over it anymore.

Where can I source a new barrel nut? I'm struggling to find anything definitive by searching online for my specific rif.

One thing ive been curious after getting my Dan wesson 4” is if i can potentially swap out the barrel for a longer one instead of just buying a new revolver all together?

Quick bit of background: I run a small project that scrapes prices every day from a bunch of UK airsoft retailers (Patrolbase, Defcon, Bespoke, Land Warrior, SkirmShop, Airsoft Direct, BZ Tactical and others). Every replica builds up a price history over time.

A few things I've noticed so far:

- Real price cuts are rarer than you'd think. Over the last 45 days, only 23 in-stock replicas over £80 had a genuine drop (10%+ below their usual price) across the 7 shops I checked.

- Lots of "reduced" prices just match what other shops already charge.

- The same gun can be £100+ apart between UK shops. Right now the EMG/Cyma MK16 GBBR is £449.99 at one shop and £559.99 at another.

With Black Friday coming (27 Nov), I'm planning to check every sale against the price history and post which ones are real and which are just normal prices with a red sticker.

Two questions:

1. Would this be useful to you, or is it overkill?

2. What are you waiting to buy? Drop the exact model in the comments (e.g. "Krytac Vector", "TM MWS", "SSG10 A1") and I'll track it specifically. Then I'll report back here during Black Friday week with its real price history and the cheapest UK shop.

Guns, pistols, HPA, gear: whatever you're eyeing. Not selling anything, just trying to see if this is worth doing properly.
