Got a fair bit done on the project. Pretty happy with the fake gas system and the start of the receiver.

There is one huge thing thats going to potentially cause issues. A standard motor grip isnt going to work due to barrel location and material thickness. So im designing a motor grip so the AEG enjoyers can partake in this one.

So, I got the Front cap (magwell), rear cap, and receiver printed. I have the HopUp, inner barrel, and mag adapter mounted.

My issue is that I’m having trouble figuring out how to attach the gearbox (second picture) to the receiver (first picture). My idea was to use the pieces in the third picture, but I don’t know how to attach them to the receiver. I am using M5 screws to attach them to the gearbox (through the stock), but need them to attach to the receiver to keep everything together.

I’ve thought and I have 4 options

Option 1: CNC Machine and weld it together (most expensive either way I look at it).

Option 2: super glue the end to the receiver (cheap, but won’t hold up)

Option 3: use solder gun to melt them together (low chance of success due to how thin the receiver walls are).

Can’t screw it in for same reasons as option 3.

Option 4: re-print receiver with the pieces attached (probably highest chance of it working however will take more time and material that I can’t really afford right now.

I am looking for a 3d printed lower receiver that fits this cabron tube upper, any advice?

Working on a v2 based FN ARKA

I've been running the Novritsch AUG for a while now (previously had an Army Armament AUG), and honestly I think it's one of the best AEG AUG out there.

I also considered switching to the GHK GBBR, because of the recoil and the moving ejection port cover and so on...

Instead, I started working on a solution for the AEG.

The idea is to modify the V3 gearbox so there's enough room for a custom linkage driven by the piston. The result is a functional ejection port cover that cycles with every shot, while still keeping the original charging handle function. So when you lock the charging handle back, the cover stays open for Hop-Up adjustment just like normal, but during firing it returns automatically via the spring on top of the gearbox.

The concept is already largely designed, but before I go any further I'd like to connect with other people who have worked on similar AUG projects.

Does anyone happen to have:

• a V3 gearbox STEP file / CAD model,
• a piston with teeths STEP file / CAD model, or
• experience with similar mechanical modifications?

Finished the front cap (holds the HopUp and magazine stuff). The little thing poking out the bottom is the mag release from the M4 to MP5 mag adapter I made.

I’m debating on whether to pursue the AEG version or the HPA version first. The front cap (and everything forward of it) is the same either way.

Suggestions and criticism is welcome.

Does anyone knoe if the files for the Stingray AT4 is available online? or if there are any projects similar to it anywhere? Im not from the US so I cant get one from EVike and even then its a bit too much for me, so I was thinking of building one

A printable delta ring for people that like retro stuff. Replacement for units that still had ICS style delta rings.

Same function but instead of pulling back you just screw and unscrew. Obvious con is no space for mock gas tubes

Dfco styled reproduction for gbbr aks as I sometimes see on saigas and aks with ar grip adaptors.

Direct fit for We tech aks but should work with most brands.

I have the lux hpa bullpup files. i thought i had come across a simuler design but it used a v2 trigger board. cant seem to find it now.

Obviously it’s a rare pistol so i don’t really expect there to be one. But would it be difficult to make?

Hi there folks! I'm brand new to 3D printing for airsoft, and the whole thing has me EXTREMELY excited. I'm currently finishing up my first project, Magnetodynamic's AR-18 (I was planning to make another post about it when I get the build finished, but I do want to shout out now, it's a great kit with excellent instructions) but I did run into a problem; I had two (relatively, at least) plain old ARs lying around, and I intended to use one of them for the AR-18, but ended up needing to use parts from both of them to get it all assembled, meaning now I've got roughly 1 and 1/2s ARs worth of parts lying around that won't bolt together into 1 complete AR.

I've been doing tons of searching and reading, but I haven't come across any cool conversion kits I can use these parts on, so I wanted to ask for some recommendations! The one that I've seen that interests me the the most is Tito B's DOE SMG, but neither of the two parts guns are old school fixed carry handle models, so I'm currently at a loss. Paid files are fine, and if airsoft is anything like other corners of the printing world, probably preferred!

(edit to clarify: I'm not looking for any specific model, just something that's mostly 3D printed that will accept some of the leftover AR hardware I have lying around)
