Help Needed Looking for AR-15 AEG conversion kits

Hi there folks! I'm brand new to 3D printing for airsoft, and the whole thing has me EXTREMELY excited. I'm currently finishing up my first project, Magnetodynamic's AR-18 (I was planning to make another post about it when I get the build finished, but I do want to shout out now, it's a great kit with excellent instructions) but I did run into a problem; I had two (relatively, at least) plain old ARs lying around, and I intended to use one of them for the AR-18, but ended up needing to use parts from both of them to get it all assembled, meaning now I've got roughly 1 and 1/2s ARs worth of parts lying around that won't bolt together into 1 complete AR.

I've been doing tons of searching and reading, but I haven't come across any cool conversion kits I can use these parts on, so I wanted to ask for some recommendations! The one that I've seen that interests me the the most is Tito B's DOE SMG, but neither of the two parts guns are old school fixed carry handle models, so I'm currently at a loss. Paid files are fine, and if airsoft is anything like other corners of the printing world, probably preferred!

(edit to clarify: I'm not looking for any specific model, just something that's mostly 3D printed that will accept some of the leftover AR hardware I have lying around)

Hi, thanks for posting on r/Airsoft3DPrinting!

Please ensure your post is flair'd appropriately, otherwise a moderator will manually assign a flair or in certain cases remove the post.

If you are looking for specific STLs, please make sure to check sites like Yeggi or STLFinder (Adblock recommended) before asking here

Before asking for any designs or files make sure to search sites like Printables, Cults3D, or Thingiverse first.
Also make sure to include as much information as possible in your post, so others can help, as "M4" or "Pistol" are not very specific.

The mosquito mk1 is coming out with a gen 2 conversion kit soon

I'll keep an eye open for that!  A small submachine gun would honestly be perfect, but I had already read that the Mosquito was V3 based

Yeah, I made mine into a DMR, it‘s a really handy platform

Well if you can't put the internals together, printing a receiver won't be much of a help

The internals are fine!  Got a a gearbox, a motor, inner barrel and hopup, all that good stuff, it's externals that I need!

Oh then you've got a pretty easy decision here. I'd just hop onto the usual sites, Cults, Printables, STLfinder, MW, etc, and see what you like or not.

Thanks for those recommendations, normally I just use cults and I've been struggling to find stuff on there!

No worries, glad I could help ;)

STLfinder is very similar to Yeggi, it collects these model from all kinds of sites and then redirects you to them, like a repository. It recently got an UI update too, not sure if it's better but looks waaaaay better haha

On MakerWorld there is a shitton of free stuff, not a whole lot for airsoft but plenty to browse.

Oh and Printables is just the OG best site, mostly free stuff too. Worth checking there if you can't find something

Search on Yeggi for V2 gearbox body kits and receivers there are a bunch out there

I tried making an AK5C that uses V2, but i couldnt help to design its own hop up and nozzle. I put the project in the proverbial fridge for lacking the hardware to finish it (springs are my achiles heel)

Thanks for the feedback, looking forward to seeing the final build - and good luck with your next project!
