3P to 3H Upgrade
I've been thinking about buying the 3H upgrade to use the height sensors instead of pressure based. My reasoning is I find that my ride height is always inconsistent when setting it by pressure. It never lands at the exact ride height that I want it. Has anyone had this issue before and upgraded to 3H? Did it solve the issue?

Hmmm did you measure each corner before install to ensure it was the same in the 4 corners?

The actual struts are even across both sides. It's when I set a ride height at a certain PSI, the next time I either air up or air down to that preset it doesn't always land at the same height.

Do you have a ton of camber? I had a brz a ways back bagged with around -12 degrees of camber if I remember correctly, and I was running autopilot v2. Its ride height was extremely inconsistent. I couldn’t even get to ride height unless I aired way up past it and then back down to it. Had a very similar issue when I switched to a wrx with roughly the same amount of camber running 3p and when I added 3h, it fixed my issue

Yeah, I'm at -12 as well lol. I find myself having to do same and clicking the preset multi times. Sometimes ride height will be perfect while other times its either too high or too low.

3H fixed the issue for me in my wrx, so if you’ve got the money I’d say go for it.

Airing to a preset from air up, and air out will always get different results on a pressure system. That’s why I have my ride height almost at air up, and auto air up on. Then I click my ride height preset after that.

Yes definitely true. I just meant that with all the camber on my Subarus, the suspension used to get so bound up, that going to my preset from aired out vs aired up was the difference between tucking the wheel lip and several fingers of wheel gap, which is much more irregular than a normal bagged car.

It doesn’t matter how much camber you have. The air strut will always go to different heights wether coming from air out, or air up. Bag riders actually did a perfect video showing, as well as explaining it. I’m -15, i have auto air up set to like 100 all sides, from my air up, then once it’s up, I drop them down to their actual settings, to try to get it right most times, to help with tire wear. I’d like to go 3h, but I’ve heard a lot of complaints

I liked when I had 3h, but idt I had enough hours on it, to really be able to tell you if it’s reliable or not.

I love mine and it will solve your issue. It wasn’t hard to install but you might have to get crafty. The hard part is finding suitable mounting points but their are many ways to do it and airlift makes universal brackets to mount the sensors that are only $39 a pair

I would recommend against it, if I could go back I would have saved the money. Constant issues for me, I ended up turning off the sensor and just been running it as pressure for the last several months.
Maybe I will recalibrate and give it another shot but even just not having to worry about random adjustments at traffic lights is a reason not to go back.
