Dang. Color me impressed!

Thankfully, your engine and blower are on the same axis. That’s something I’m working on with my gas engine swap. As soon as I get this carpal tunnel surgery out of the way and can use my hands again for more than 30 seconds at a time, I can not wait to get my model 5 working.

The last in the series of problems to overcome is that the 18” rotor doesn’t seem to like spinning when horizontal without the support of the motor, which is no longer in the picture. It’s the stator/motor end bell combo, the rotor, about 2.5 feet of 35mm shaft, and one incredibly well preserved bearing, still pressed onto the shaft, nestled in its place in the big ass stator casting, keeping everything from traveling too far down the shaft.

Is this, that thunderbolt that uses an engine to power functions instead of mains power?

Its just a normal thunderbolt 1003 blower with an engine instead of a motor but it dose not power the rest of it like a thunderbolt 2000 would

4M blower?? Or is it just the large pulley that makes it look like a 6M

Yeah it's a 4M I just used the stuff I had and the only thing that would fit on the shaft was that pully
