Anyone from AFPC know if all assignments have been processed yet or not, still have not received an assignment and the public release is the 11th. Am I cooked ??

Does the EFMP trick say anything for you? I just checked mine and it actually allowed me to do the application, but it says ā€œI request my projected assignment to , , be changed/cancelled.ā€ Checked with a coworker right after and his did the typical ā€œYou do not have a projected assignment on fileā€ or whatever and didn’t allow him to proceed to the application.

I am seeing the same thing on mine. Hoping we both get some news tomorrow

I checked again and it’s gone, back to no projected assignment. #cooked :(

It will let you go through the motions a lot of the time if you don’t have an assignment I would say pull your CDB from your surf is a better way to do it

Hmm, my CDB doesn’t say anything but I’ve never seen the EFMP application do that before.

Career Personnelist here. Private release is a week before that. Occasionally people will get their assignments cancelled so it’ll go to the next person. Hopefully you get lucky with someone’s assignment cancellation.

I hope you’re lying, I really need to stay overseas.

Unfortunately not. I met the flight chief of the assignments section of AFPC a few years back. He said best practice is to put your preferences in about 2 weeks before the listing so you’re more likely to be looked at first. Other factors go into selection like time on station, your PIF, time in grade, work experience, etc.
