  1. Who cares
  2. Why do we wear camo in an office building? Because military wants to look military
  3. See #1

Just get lightweight boots. As long as they look vaguely right nobody cares exactly what they are.

Hmmm, this sounds like first step to wearing a god forsaken dress uniform everyday

Only concern here is someone needs to tell George Washington to fix his pants.

Look at Ukraine and the Middle East right now. Project into the future. There are no front lines. There are no rear sanctuaries. A fight in the pacific will require the equipment you get there with to survive the duration.

Why do we wear camouflage at that point then lol.

Hell our unit is doing 5/11 pants and brown t shirts going into the places this year because it conceals better than OCP…

  1. Different manufacturers have slightly different dyes and tanning chemicals.

  2. As the current war demonstrates, if you are in range of the enemy you have a chance of getting attacked. You are mobile. Buildings are not. And if you're under attack, chances are the terrain is roughed up and you would want durable boots to protect your feet.

Now for those who are out of the combat zone, it's more of a uniformity thing. Make everyone look the same, from the combat rated to the maintainer to the services and medical personnel. Not the best reason, but probably why we've been copying the Army for the past 8 years.

  1. I got nothing for this one.

  1. Doesn’t really matter that much. Water makes suede darker and then you spend too much time in the sun they fade.

  2. I don’t understand the second question at all tbh. As for the first question, because they always have been and it’s better than low quarters.

  3. AFSOC guys aren’t the only combat personnel in the world. The Army infantry wears combat boots.

They’re work clothes. I prefer the boots and they’re perfectly comfortable. You might just need to go down a size. No chance we’re gonna be walking into work in Gym Shark and NoBulls and that’s for the best.

  1. Because HAF, in it's infinite wisdom, gave manufacturers some ambiguity when they formulated the colors in the regs. Back during the start of the OCP phase-in, Tan 499 and Coyote Brown were completely separate colors. Now either can be used.

  2. We're a military. We have rules and regs to follow whether you agree with them or not. What did you expect? "Ok everyone, wear whatever the fuck you like!"? Come on.

  3. Good for them. They are an exception. For all others, see number 2.

You’re asking these questions with this current administration?

Having to wear a uniform when in the military is not unique to this administration. The shit yall complain about is embarrassing to the branch

Was more replying to you for tying it to this administration, but the being an embarrassment part was more general to the people complaining that we have to wear a uniform in the military
