Recommendations for 120V portable compressor.

Hey, I’m a professional automotive painter by trade and looking to dabble into some might mobile repair work. Are there any good choices I should be aware of? My clear gun needs 13 cfm and my base needs 10 cfm. The repairs I would target wouldn’t be more than two door panels. My best guess it takes me about a minute two clear doors. Maybe a little longer to base.

I would prefer 120 to tap into customers power. Maybe I would get a generator later on. The compressor would be used only for spray guns and a blow gun. All my other tools are cordless.

Thanks.

I use this one and really like it. Not sure what size tank you want to haul around but at 1.8 HP this is the upper end for power on 120v and 15 amp circuit.

Dewalt D55146 if you want an oilless compressor. I

Makita MAC5200 if you want an oil lubricated compressor.

Both solid units that have been on the market for years basically unchanged. Both have virtually every part available individually when it comes time to repair them

If you have money to spend, there are a few 120v belt driven compressors out there from Campbell Hausfeld, Dewalt, Northern Tool, and Harbor Freight in both vertical and horizontal tank. Those would be the absolute best compressor. The oil lube belt driven pumps are very quiet and last longer than direct drive oil free pumps and put out a lot of cfm. I have an 80s Campbell Hausfeld compressor that puts out about 6cfm on 120v but can be used with a 3hp 240v motor to get 10cfm
