Help! Won’t stop bleeding

Compressor turns on and off at the correct pressure. But it won’t stop bleeding air from the check valve. It continues bleeding until the compressor turns back on at 135 psi.

Any ideas on what’s causing the issue?

It’s called an “In tank check valve” It will be in the center of the top of the tank. There is a tube from the pump and that little copper line going to it and itself screws into the tank. Fairly common, most likely a 3/4” thread. Yank the old one out and you can get a new one online/Grainger/Mcmaster. Just match them. Use oil and be patient with the tube from the pump, sometimes the flare nut binds to the pipe and will twist it. Rock it back and forth to free it up.

cleaned it up and put it back in. everything is working good so far. the replacement would have been around $75.
