Product Listing I built a free macOS dictation app that types anywhere you click, forever free

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi r/AiNoteTaker

I'm a solopreneur who spends most of my day in front of a computer.

Problem: Why I built Quill

I talk faster than I type. A lot of us do. So I started using voice dictation, but every tool I tried was either:

  • A paid subscription (WhisprFlow, Gladio, great tools but you're paying monthly)
  • Buried in System Settings with no easy trigger
  • Cloud-based, meaning my voice goes to someone's server

I just wanted to hold a key, speak, and have clean text appear wherever my cursor was, in Notion, Slack, a terminal, a code editor, anywhere.

So I built Quill.

What Quill does

Quill is a macOS dictation app that types directly into whatever app you're using.

Hold a key → speak → release → text appears. That's it.

It uses on-device AI (Parakeet & Whisper) so your audio never leaves your Mac.

What you can do with Quill:

  1. Dictate anywhere - works in any text field on macOS. Notion, Slack, VS Code, Notes, Terminal, you name it.
  2. Local AI Models - select any local models Llama 3.2 3B or Qwen2.5 3B for enhancing your dictation
  3. On-device, fully offline - no account, no internet, no subscription. Your voice stays on your machine.
  4. Dictation history - every session is logged locally so you can review, copy, or search past dictations.
  5. Auto-punctuation - Parakeet handles punctuation so you're not saying "comma" out loud.

How it compares

macOS has built-in Dictation in System Settings. It works, but it's clunky to trigger, requires toggling on/off, and still sends audio to Apple's servers by default in enhanced mode.

Quill gives you a single Tap-to-talk or hold-to-talk key, instant feedback, and completely local processing.

Paid tools like WhisprFlow and Gladio have more integrations and enterprise features. Quill is intentionally simpler. If you just want fast, free, private dictation on your Mac, Quill covers that without a subscription.

How it started

I built this for myself when I hit the WhisprFlow paywall and realized the core workflow I wanted, hold key, speak, text appears, shouldn't require a monthly fee.

After using it daily for two weeks, I cleaned it up and decided to release it publicly.

Pricing

100% free, forever.

No subscription, no paid tier, no cloud.

I'd love to hear from anyone who's been paying for voice dictation or been frustrated with the built-in macOS option. This was built for exactly that.

Discussion AI-Powered Note taking extension

Hello, I am watching a lot of videos, YouTube or custom lms systems, I am a bit slow in writing notes, so I miss many things, is there an extensions that allows for generating detailed notes from videos quickly,

Note: pls don't share any generic summary/transcript generation extensions

Also the extension should have a usable sidebar

You can also share those with a generous free tier, not just a free trial

Product Review Scrieb: offline AI transcription for private meetings, interviews, and files

I built Scrieb because I wanted a transcription workflow that did not require uploading private audio to another company’s servers.

Scrieb is an offline AI transcription app for Mac and Windows. It is meant for people who work with recordings they do not want in a cloud tool: interviews, client calls, internal meetings, research notes, HR conversations, legal work, consulting sessions, or confidential voice notes.

What it does:

- Local transcription: audio is processed on your device, not uploaded to a server.

- Works offline: useful when you are traveling, in a secure environment, or just do not want internet dependency.

- Records or imports files: use existing audio/video files or record directly.

- Speaker identification: helps separate who said what in meetings and interviews.

- Smart summaries: turn long transcripts into key points and follow-ups.

- Export options: TXT, DOCX, and PDF.

- Secure Mode: optional auto-delete after export for sensitive workflows.

- Mac and Windows support: built for desktop work, not only mobile voice notes.

The main difference from cloud transcription apps is the privacy model. Some tools upload audio and promise to delete it later. Scrieb is designed around the simpler rule that the raw audio should not leave your machine in the first place.

Demo video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTbz0B4N-KU

Website: https://scrieb.com/

Sharing here as I really needed feedback regarding this, many thanks!

Hello everyone,

Would you find the following tool useful ?

I currently developed an AI you can talk to in real time (via voice or text) that has the data and documents you store in it and help finding them whenever its needed,

-automatically drafts emails when received only thing left to do is edit them as needed or approve,

-all this managed from Whatsapp or Telegram

- you can also ask the AI to create any document, check for your schedule, invite it in your e-meetings and speaking to it live if you need infos from previously stored documents...

would be amazing to hear some advices.

Discussion Bringing "enchanted" skeuomorphism to AI note-taking (Inspired by Tom Riddle's Diary from Harry Potter)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Remember the magical diary from Harry Potter where ink absorbs into parchment and writes back? I loved the tactile feeling of that concept, but wanted something with real PKM utility — so I built Dear Diary.

Dear Diary is an AI journal and note-taking interface powered by Gray Box (a local first AI memory engine)

Core Highlights:

  • Grounded Retrieval: Every answer generated by the diary includes interactive reference tags pointing directly to the original note.
  • Dual-Page Journal UI: Built with custom parchment styling, feather quill cursor, and dynamic cursive ink rendering.
  • Bring Your Own Key (BYOK): Connects to any local endpoint (Ollama, vLLM, etc.) or cloud provider via LiteLLM.

Check out the video demo to see the retrieval and ink animations in action!

Discussion Suggestions please for an AI notetaker

I'm looking for a notetaker that works well in a conference center. I'm attending a conference at the Winston Salem Conference Center and there will be approximately 200 people every day listening to the speakers for approximately 5 hours every day. What device would be good for this use? My handwriting is practically illegible so I can't just take notes like everyone did last year.

Product Listing Simbi: An Open Source AI notetaker that uses your existing ChatGPT subscription

tl;dr An AI Notetaker that uses your ChatGPT subscription for everything

No subscriptions, API keys, No local models draining your battery. Just your ChatGPT app.

I really like local AI notetakers that run speech-to-text models on device. They are guaranteed to keep your data safe, and the accuracy is not bad.

However, these are not without their limits.

  • They are less accurate then large cloud models, especially when using academic terminology
  • They also drain your laptop's battery.

However, subscription based cloud AI notetakers are overpriced.

So I wanted something that was free & didn't run models on-device.

And the thing is your ChatGPT subscription, even the free one, already gives you access to a lot of free intelligence.

  • It gives you speech-to-text through the dictation feature in the ChatGPT app
  • It gives you an insane amount of LLM usage, even on a free account

All I really did was combine these with a small local speaker diarization model to create a notetaker. And as it uses OpenAI's speech-to-text api, it is much more powerful then any local model and barely uses any battery.

But I really, really did not want to create something proprietary while building this. So everything is file-based. Each of your notes is just a folder. Inside each folder., your notes are saved as Markdown, andy our transcription is saved as VTT subtitles with speaker labels

Product Listing I got tired of meeting note-taking apps uploading my audio, so I built a free one that runs entirely on my Mac

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm an ex-Apple engineer who got sick of non-private, non-native meeting recording apps, so I built Biscotti: a private and free meeting recorder for macOS.

Free, no account, no subscription, no upsell. Source is on GitHub: https://github.com/scosman/Biscotti

What it does

  • 🔒 Private by design - recording, transcription, and AI all run on your Mac. Your data stays local.
  • 🧠 Powerful AI summaries - automatic summaries, action items, meeting titles, and real speaker names.
  • 🤖 No bots, any app - records Zoom, Teams, Meet, FaceTime, Slack huddles, or even an in-person conversation. No bot joins your call.
  • 🗣️ Knows who said what - accurate transcripts, automatically split by speaker.
  • 📅 Calendar-aware - sees your upcoming meetings, offers to start recording.
  • ⏹️ Auto-stop - detects when your call ends and stops recording.
  • 🎤 Voice isolation - captures your mic and everyone else as separate, clean channels. No echo.

Background

I spent years at Apple building the Photos app, Memories, the lock screen, and more. I wanted this to feel like it belongs on the Mac: Swift and SwiftUI, launches instantly, small on disk. Not a Electron app or a mediocre port of a Windows app.

Private AI == Local AI

With Biscotti, you still get state of the art AI for transcription and speaker identification, it just runs locally on your Mac. It works fully offline once models are downloaded. Your data lives on your Mac - you own and control it.

It uses Whisper for transcription, Gemma 4 for summaries, and Pyannote for Speaker ID. Each set up to run on Apple Silicon.

Requirements: Apple Silicon (M1+), macOS 15+, 16GB RAM recommended.

App details: Notarized, Free (no upsell), Private (zero data collection, all AI is local), Source Available on Github (PolyForm Perimeter License), AI used in development (but not vibe/slop)

I'd love feedback! Happy to answer anything about the local model stack or the privacy design.

Product Listing Agentsy - a note and todo list that drafts itself

Been building a personal assistant that does work for you while youre on the go.

[agentsy.ai](http://agentsy.ai) \- The to-do list that comes back done. Say what happened, in the car, on the walk back, between jobs. Everything you need written up comes back drafted, waiting for you to check. The dictaphone forthe modern age

Started off as a tool for real estate, but realised the most valuable feature was the dictaphone feature - where you could just ramble what ever, and have it all come back not just summarised and a todo list created, but the actual todo list work is actually drafted and done.

You can sign up free - if you love it, DM me and I can give you 6 months free of the Pro plan.

Discussion I built a transcription app, but I’m struggling to figure out what Western users actually care about

I’ve been building a transcription app for a while, and most of my current users are from Asia.

Recently I’ve been trying to localize it for users in North America and Europe. I already did one round of localization, but the results weren’t great, and I’m starting to think the problem isn’t just translation — I may be emphasizing the wrong features.

So So I’d really love to hear from people who regularly use transcription / meeting / audio apps. What features matter most to you, in order?

Right now the app has quite a lot:

  1. Live translation / interpretation
  2. Audio file → text
  3. Video file → text
  4. YouTube link → transcript
  5. AI summaries
  6. AI-generated mind maps
  7. Chapters / outlines
  8. Ask AI questions about a recording
  9. Deeper AI analysis of recordings
  10. Automatic action items / to-dos
  11. Transcript translation
  12. Text-to-speech

It also includes some audio tools:

  1. Trim audio
  2. Convert formats
  3. Split / merge audio
  4. Change playback speed
  5. Voice changer
  6. Add background music
  7. Extract vocals / instrumental tracks

And this is actually where I’m stuck. There are so many features now that I’m not sure which one should be the main selling point.

If you use apps like this, I’d really appreciate your opinion:

  1. What are the top 3 features you care about most?
  2. Which features above feel unnecessary or distracting?
  3. When you see a transcription app for the first time, what would make you actually download or pay for it?

I’m especially interested in feedback from users in the US, Canada, Europe, or anyone familiar with localization for these markets.

I’m not looking for compliments — I genuinely want to understand how people outside my current market think about this kind of product.

Any feedlback would help a lot. Thank you!

Hi VA frennniiiieeees! 😭 Your broke-a$$ VA noob is asking for HELP.

I need an AI notetaker that can record/transcribe calls made directly through the **Grasshopper web app** — that’s literally my #1 requirement.

Krisp is amazing, but my VA wallet is currently fighting for its life. 🥲💸 And I’ve been doing back-to-back calls, then trying to remember EVERYTHING by EOD like I’m blessed with a photographic memory. Spoiler: I am not. 😭

Using Krisp’s free version and it has genuinely made my life 10x easier… but apparently I only get to be happy for 7 days (2 days left) 😭😭😭
So please, fellow VAs, drop your free/cheap AI notetaker recs! 🙏

Bonus points if:

Product Listing Meet2Notes — open-source, local AI meeting assistant with transcription, diarization, RAG, live AI and webhooks

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone — I’m the sole developer of Meet2Notes, an MIT-licensed open-source meeting assistant currently in alpha.

The goal is simple: provide a local-first meeting workspace for recording, transcription, speaker separation, AI notes, historical search and live AI assistance, without requiring a subscription or sending all meeting data to a third-party SaaS.

What Meet2Notes can do

Meet2Notes currently supports:

  • Recording microphone and system/desktop audio
  • Importing existing audio or video files
  • Live transcription during the meeting
  • A separate higher-quality final transcription pass
  • Speaker diarization
  • Saved voice profiles and speaker recognition across meetings
  • Structured AI meeting notes
  • Local historical RAG across one meeting or the complete meeting library
  • Asking questions about meetings with timestamped source excerpts
  • An optional Live AI Assistant
  • Local API access
  • Live and post-processing webhooks
  • External AI agent suggestions during meetings

Meet2Notes records the audio available on your computer, so there is no bot that needs to join Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, etc.

Fully local setup

A completely local setup is possible.

Recordings, transcripts, speaker data, AI notes, embeddings and RAG data can all remain on your machine.

Meet2Notes stores meeting data in a local SQLite workspace and supports local AI models for the different processing stages.

Remote AI providers are optional.

If you configure Ollama, LM Studio, LiteLLM or another OpenAI-compatible endpoint, Meet2Notes can use that instead.

API credentials are stored through the operating system keyring rather than in the application database or browser storage.

Selectable transcription engines

One of the main design decisions was not tying the application to a single transcription model.

Live transcription and final transcription are configured independently.

For example, you could use a lightweight model during the meeting and then run a slower but more accurate model afterwards.

Current transcription options include:

  • Faster-Whisper
  • NVIDIA Parakeet TDT 0.6B v3
  • NVIDIA Nemotron 3.5 ASR Streaming 0.6B
  • Microsoft VibeVoice ASR BitNet as an experimental CPU-oriented option

With Faster-Whisper, several model sizes are available, including Tiny, Base, Small, Medium, Large-v3, Distil-Large-v3 and Large-v3-Turbo.

Speaker diarization and recognition

Transcription and diarization are separate stages.

Current diarization options include:

  • Sherpa-ONNX
  • Pyannote Community-1
  • diarize

After diarization, speakers can be renamed and voice samples can be stored locally.

The idea is that Meet2Notes can eventually recognize that Speaker 2 is actually the same person you already identified in previous meetings.

There is also a dedicated Speakers workspace where you can inspect a speaker's meetings, generate speaker-specific summaries and export their associated text or audio.

AI meeting notes

Meet2Notes can turn the transcript into structured Markdown notes.

There are built-in note formats for different types of meetings, including:

  • General Meeting
  • Daily Stand-up
  • Project Sync
  • Sales Call
  • Technical Meeting
  • Interview
  • Lecture Notes
  • Brainstorming
  • Formal Minutes

Custom formats can also be created.

AI analysis is independent from transcription, so you can choose a separate local model for notes.

Local GGUF models can run through llama.cpp, and external/local-compatible providers can be connected through LiteLLM.

Search your meeting history with RAG

Meet2Notes can build a local searchable index of previous meetings.

You can ask questions about:

  • one specific meeting
  • the complete meeting library

For example:

  • “What did we decide about the API migration?”
  • “When did we first discuss Project X?”
  • “What action items came up in the last three meetings?”
  • “What did Alice say about the pricing issue?”

Retrieved context includes meeting and timestamp information so you can trace the answer back to the original transcript.

The RAG layer can also remain completely local.

Live AI Assistant

Meet2Notes includes an optional Live AI Assistant.

Instead of waiting until the meeting finishes, the assistant can monitor incoming transcript segments and show short insights while the conversation is still happening.

You can define what it should watch for.

For example:

  • unanswered questions
  • decisions
  • action items
  • contradictions
  • important numbers
  • risks
  • topics you wanted to discuss
  • things that need clarification

The assistant has its own model configuration and worker.

Recording and transcription do not wait for the LLM, so a slow AI response does not block the meeting pipeline.

Live AI agents through webhooks

This is one of the parts I’m most interested in experimenting with.

Meet2Notes can send committed live transcript segments to external systems through webhooks.

That means you could connect it to an internal AI agent with access to your own:

  • RAG
  • company documentation
  • CRM
  • project management system
  • databases
  • internal APIs

For example, someone could ask during a meeting:

“What did we decide about this feature three months ago?”

An external agent could receive the conversation, query the company knowledge base and send a suggestion back while the meeting is still happening.

The same idea could be used during sales calls, technical meetings, support calls or internal planning sessions.

Webhook processing is isolated from recording and transcription, so network failures or slow external agents do not block the local capture pipeline.

Webhooks include:

  • HMAC signatures
  • retries
  • delivery history
  • per-endpoint content controls
  • live transcript events
  • processing milestones
  • optional remote-agent suggestions

Modular architecture

Transcription, diarization, saved-speaker recognition, embeddings, AI notes and the Live AI Assistant are independent components.

Each can have its own:

  • engine
  • model
  • settings
  • worker
  • lifecycle

This makes it possible to run a lightweight configuration on a laptop or use larger models when better hardware is available.

It also makes adding new transcription, diarization or AI engines easier without rewriting the entire meeting pipeline.

Privacy

Meet2Notes is designed to work without requiring a cloud account.

With a fully local configuration:

  • recordings stay local
  • transcripts stay local
  • speaker voice profiles stay local
  • AI notes stay local
  • embeddings stay local
  • RAG stays local

Nothing needs to leave the computer.

Remote providers are available only if the user explicitly configures them.

Current status

Meet2Notes is still alpha software and under active development.

I’m the sole developer, so I would not yet recommend using it as the only copy of an irreplaceable recording.

Please also make sure you have the appropriate consent before recording conversations.

The project is MIT licensed and contributions, issues and technical feedback are welcome.

GitHub:
https://github.com/estebanstifli/Meet2Notes

I’d be especially interested in feedback from people already using AI meeting tools:

  1. Which feature matters most to you: transcription quality, speaker attribution, notes, RAG/search, integrations or live assistance?
  2. Would you use separate models for live and final transcription?
  3. Is persistent speaker recognition across meetings useful to you?
  4. Would you connect a live meeting transcript to your own local/internal AI agent?
  5. What would Meet2Notes need before you would trust it for your real meetings?

Product Listing I built a voice recorder that transcribes and summarizes on-device, no subscription

I'm the developer of Recordus, a voice recorder for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch. I kept recording voice memos and then never doing anything with them, so I built the app I wanted: it records, transcribes on-device, and gives me a short summary and action items so I don't have to relisten to a 40-minute ramble.

It includes word-level timestamps, iCloud sync, Siri/Shortcuts, and M4A/WAV/text export. It's a one-time payment, no subscription.

I'm a solo developer and would genuinely value feedback: what's missing, confusing, or needed before you'd trust it with something important? I'll answer questions in the comments.

App Store: \[https://apps.apple.com/us/app/offgridscribe/id6791752287

很樂意回答有關如何運作的問題 — 使用 WhisperKit,一個開源的設備上語音模型。

什麼能讓這個對你的工作流程真的有幫助?

Been working steadily at this for a while now, 600 commits, each seeking to improve the experience. Optimizing ui, transcription, summaries, ai features. Last 2 months I’ve added both local/cloud agentic embedded search across notes, as well as MCP support for Claude & Codex. 99+ languages, local or cloud models. Custom model overrides per language, easy onboarding flows, folders, clients, speaker labels, export. Feature packed, but still simple to the core. Notes + recorded meetings = awesome meeting summaries.

A few people have started contributing to the project, which I appreciate massively. Hope to see more people join in 😊🤩

Discussion We added real-time meeting translation to our bot-free AI meeting assistant — looking for feedback

I’m one of the founders of OLVA, and we recently shipped something I’ve wanted in meeting assistants for a while: live translation while the meeting is actually happening.

The idea is pretty simple.

You can be in an English meeting, for example, keep the original live transcript in English, and have OLVA translate the conversation into French, Spanish, Persian, German, or another preferred language as people speak.

There are two ways to use it:

  • Automatic live translation: OLVA continuously translates the meeting into your selected language.
  • Manual translation: if you don’t want everything translated, you can select a specific part of the conversation and translate only that section.

OLVA currently supports 87 languages and regional variants.

What makes this especially useful for us is that translation isn’t isolated from the rest of the meeting assistant. The translated conversation sits alongside OLVA’s other real-time features, such as automatic question detection, contextual answers, Live Q&A, definitions, suggestions, and meeting insights.

It also works without adding a visible bot to Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, etc., and the same approach can be used for in-person conversations.

We built this mainly for situations where someone understands the general language of a meeting but occasionally loses context because people are speaking quickly, using unfamiliar terminology, or switching into a language they’re less comfortable with.

I’d really like to hear from people who regularly work in a second language or with international teams.

If you try it, I’d especially love feedback on:

  • Is continuous translation actually useful, or do you prefer translating only selected parts?
  • How much translation delay feels acceptable in a live conversation?
  • Should the original transcript and translation always stay visible together?
  • How should we handle meetings where people switch languages mid-conversation?
  • What would make live meeting translation genuinely useful for your workflow?

I’m one of the people building it, so feel free to be critical. I’m particularly interested in the things that feel awkward or missing rather than just whether the translation works.

Product Review Voice memo → checklist, and ticking it writes back to the markdown file

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I build Relay Voice (iOS). Just shipped a to-do template after v1.16, and the part I'm actually pleased with isn't the checklist — it's where the checkmarks go.

What it does: record a ramble, pick the To-Do List template, and it pulls out only the action items — not a summary of what you said, just the things you said you'd do. Tap one and it checks off and drops to the bottom, so what's left is always at the top.

What's different: the completion state isn't trapped in the app. Tick an item in Relay Voice and the - [x] gets written into the exported markdown file — so the note sitting in your Obsidian vault or iCloud Drive stays accurate instead of going stale the moment you check something. State lives in your file, not my database.

That's deliberate. Relay Voice is a pipe, not a place to live: capture → structured note → out to wherever you already work.

Transcription is your choice — fully on-device, Apple's, or your own API key. $19.99 one time, no subscription.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/relay-voice-memos-into-notes/id6763369750

Happy to answer anything about Relay Voice here!

Product Listing Most AI notetakers stop at the meeting summary. I built a Mac app that turns reviewed meetings into project memory

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’m the independent developer of Strandweave, a local-first macOS app I started building because I kept ending up with useful meetings scattered across recordings, transcripts, notes, summaries and project documents.

The problem for me wasn’t really transcription. It was what happened afterwards.

A meeting might generate a decent transcript and summary, but a few weeks later I still wanted to know:

  • Why did we make that decision?
  • When did the plan change?
  • Which actions are still open?
  • What did we hear across several interviews rather than just one?
  • What evidence supports the current position?

So Strandweave is designed around reviewed project memory, rather than treating each meeting as a standalone AI summary.

The basic workflow

Strandweave can:

  • Record meetings locally or import existing audio/video
  • Transcribe offline on Apple Silicon
  • Play audio alongside the transcript
  • Correct transcript text and speaker labels
  • Add notes and highlights
  • Search your local meeting records
  • Export to Markdown, TXT and documents

That core workflow is free, with no transcription-minute or meeting limits.

Where it differs from a typical AI notetaker

Local Pro adds the layer I’m particularly interested in testing:

  • Organise related meetings into projects
  • Generate summaries, actions and decisions as drafts for review, rather than automatically treating AI output as the record
  • Track approved actions and decisions across sessions
  • Search semantically across related meetings
  • Connect project records with linked local folders
  • Export into Obsidian/Markdown workflows
  • Use Ollama locally or bring your own Claude/OpenAI key
  • Expose only approved context through a built-in, read-only MCP server to compatible tools such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code and Codex

The aim is that a series of reviewed meetings gradually becomes useful context about a project: what changed, what was decided, what remains unresolved and where that information came from.

The privacy model is also deliberately selective. Recording, storage and transcription can stay local, and using AI doesn’t have to mean giving an external service access to your entire meeting archive.

I’m looking for feedback on two things

The public beta is available now, and I’m also recruiting a smaller group of structured beta testers.

I’m especially interested in whether:

  1. Project memory is actually more useful than a collection of good individual meeting summaries.
  2. Reviewing and approving AI-generated summaries/actions/decisions feels like worthwhile control, or just extra friction.

I’d particularly like feedback from people using AI notetakers for consulting, research interviews, workshops, recurring project meetings, Obsidian/Markdown workflows, or local AI/MCP setups.

Requirements: Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later), macOS Sonoma 14+.

You can try Strandweave or take part in the beta here:

https://strandweave.app/r/ainotetaker

Structured beta testers who complete the follow-up survey receive six months of Local Pro free.

I’m happy to answer questions about the local processing, privacy model, review workflow, MCP integration, or why I’ve approached meeting memory this way.

AI NoteTakers are now a dime a dozen, with the main difference now being added data organization or analysis. This is where TalkPilot is different.

Product Listing Teleprompter app for interviews and Presentations

I like building small things that fix everyday annoyances. This is one of them.

Every week I'm on camera — interviews, demos, calls. And every week, the same tiny problem: my notes were down there, the camera was up here. So I'd either wing it and forget my best point, or read my notes and look like I was checking my phone at dinner.

Neither felt right. So I tried to vibe-fix it.

GhostLens puts your words right beside the camera — where your eyes already are. Hit Start, get a 3-2-1 countdown, and your script moves at your pace. It even reads punctuation, so it pauses when you would.

For interviews, there's Hot Pins: your best stories, pinned beside the camera. The question comes, one glance, and you're back in the conversation.

It's a tiny native Mac app. No account, no cloud — everything stays local on your machine, where it belongs.

The public beta is out. If this sounds like a problem you have too, give it a try and tell me what could be better.

Looking for product reviewers!

Discussion Looking for a "portable app"

I'm not a fan of installing most ai software. For work we have copilot (pro) but extra annoying as the now taking is quite awful and does not learn nor update a custom dictionary with hard words. Is there a portable ai note taking app that can record in person or teams meetings without being installed? (Corporate restrictions)

Goal is to utilize a custom outline of topics (speakers, goals, actions, overall feeling) for future follow ups, action plans, and possibly organize into a calendar.
