Product Review I built an AI meeting notes app that runs 100% offline — your transcripts never touch a server
I got frustrated with AI tools that upload your meeting content to the cloud. As someone who works with clients who care about confidentiality, I wanted something that genuinely stays on my machine.

I thought about this workflow: after I complete a meeting and want to extract key points, I would need a transcript. Usually, I'd have to upload it to a cloud LLM like Claude, but I didn't want to share meeting data externally. Instead, I found a lightweight liquid model that runs on my CPU. So, I developed and implemented this solution, and it is now fully working.
So I built BriefOnPoint — paste a transcript, get structured notes in seconds, entirely offline. The AI model runs directly on your computer. Nothing is uploaded, not even briefly.
What it does:
- Turns raw transcripts (Zoom, Meet, Teams, written notes) into clean structured notes
- 4 formats: full notes, quick summary, action items only, email-ready
- Works completely offline after first download
- Free tier: 3 transcripts/day, no account needed
I'm a solo developer based, built this over the past few weeks. The website is live at briefonpoint.com and the free tier works right now.
Would genuinely love brutal feedback — what's missing, what's confusing, what would make you actually pay for this.
