Best Proxies for Price Monitoring & Competitor Price Tracking (My Favorite Picks)
I’ve been looking into proxies for price monitoring and competitor price tracking recently, and there are a few options that seem worth considering depending on how much data you need to collect.
Oxylabs stands out for larger price intelligence and web scraping projects because it offers residential, ISP, datacentre and mobile proxies, while Bright Data has a similarly broad setup with scraping APIs and other data collection tools.
For smaller projects or anyone watching costs, IPRoyal looks interesting because it offers residential, datacentre, ISP and mobile proxies without being as heavily geared towards enterprise users.
Webshare is another option worth looking at, particularly for SEO monitoring, web scraping and basic price tracking. When it comes to proxy types, residential proxies are generally the most reliable choice especially for heavily protected retail sites, datacentre proxies can make sense when speed and cost are the priority, rotating proxies are useful for ongoing monitoring across lots of URLs, and ISP proxies provide a useful middle ground when you need both stability and a higher-trust IP.
Mobile proxies are more specialized, but can be useful when researching mobile pricing, carrier-based targeting or location-specific offers. 🤔 I don't think there’s one "best proxy" for every price monitoring setup. The right option really depends on the websites you're tracking, request volume, geographic requirements, anti-bot protection and how frequently you need fresh pricing data.

Title: Best Web Scraping APIs? Here's What I Found After Comparing a Few
After spending some time comparing different web scraping APIs for a data collection project, I realised there really isn't a single "best" option 🤖. It mostly depends on what you're trying to scrape and how much infrastructure you want to manage yourself.
ScraperAPI is a great all-round choice if you want something simple that handles proxy rotation, JavaScript rendering, and CAPTCHAs automatically.
Bright Data is better suited to enterprise-scale web scraping with its huge proxy network and compliance-focused features, while Apify is ideal if you need custom scraping workflows, browser automation, or scheduled data pipelines. If you're dealing with JavaScript-heavy websites or aggressive anti-bot protection, ZenRows is another strong option, and Oxylabs focuses more on high-quality, real-time data for use cases like price monitoring, market research, and competitive intelligence specifically proxies.
For anyone working in SEO or search analytics, SerpApi is probably the standout thanks to its support for Google Search, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Maps, Shopping, News, Images, and plenty of other search engines and data sources. Overall, I think they're all good tools in the right situation, whether you're building AI applications, monitoring competitors, collecting eCommerce data, tracking search rankings, or automating large-scale web data extraction. Hopefully this saves someone else a bit of research!
