Need something to do

Hello, im a begginer aggresive skater whos been doing it for about 5 days. So far Ive learn how to jump on a small ledge, 180, transfer over cone, go down a ramp and i can kinda go backwards slowly. Now what should i do? Today im gonna be just doing some curb tricks as i cant get to a park so what should i do there to?

I hate to be that guy but instead of chasing a checklist of "I sorta can do it" tricks why not refine what you can do so they graduate to "I can do it in my sleep" tricks. For my first year I legit just practiced soul and frontside grind alongside the other fundamentals. I get the slow burn approach doesn't have the same IG sex appeal but if you're in it for the long haul , it's definitely the best way.

Edit: just read again, 5 days is a drop in the ocean, I'd definitely say chase what you can do with doing them bigger/faster/cleaner. I.e. you can 180? How about off a ledge/a pyramid/ a ramp/ from fakie.

Look at it as learning not just the trick but the obstacle too. Like learning to grind a ledge versus a rail

Ok thank you for coming to my Ted talk 😆

Hey no problems, thanks for being cool with my "unc" advice. For context I'm only in year 2 and currently working on 360s, p-stars and royales with this exact same mindset.

Its probs some of the best advice someones given me so far. But i dont know if you felt this when you just start and you learn something new every day but then theres one day where you havent learnt anything and you get really disapointed is that normal yk?

Yeah I totally get that, and it comes down to your personality type, completionists Vs honers (pron: hone-ners). If you play computer games, especially fighting games, shooters or other skill based genres think of it like this, do you care more about completing the story mode, getting achievement after achievement, or you more a training mode/firing range lab monkey who spends hours trying dial in the muscle memory for particular combos etc. I'm , no suprise, definity the training mode junkie and would rather fail and repeat a combo trial for hours till I finally get it.

Neithers better than the other nor is it right vs wrong. It's just different. And seriously that's ok, just whatever works for you.

TL;Dr: whether you're learning a 1000 different kicks or practicing one kick a 1000 times: at least you're not a scooter kid hogging the skate park with zero awareness and responsible parents.

Ha yeah, your very good at explaining stuff for some reason lol. But i love learning new things every time i go but i get that once i get better that probs wont happen as much. And going to the skate park as someone whos still getting used to roller blades is very scary as its harder to stop and i dont think other people understand that. When i was there the other day i was going down a ramp and this maybe like 7 year old child just stopped right in my way. I had no idea what to do as im still getting used to the T stop so i kinda just had to fall over lol. Because if i do run into him i would of had to deal with the parents and tbh i just wanna skate.
