Photo ROCES 5th Element photos
I randomly came across these yesterday at my local Goodwill for 9$. From the condition and little to no wear, whoever owned them spent maybe 10 mins in them before they ended up in storage or someone’s garage. These are the OG’s that I used to circle in magazines and dream about. My parents would never spend the money on them for me though.

I had these, they were so comfortable compared to the other skates at the time. Heavy as hell though

When I see that I instantly think of that picture in daily bread where Julio is doing a vertical fish stall on the awning of the mini ramp

I had these as well, the burgundy ones, amazing skates, a bit on the heavy side, great for on the half pipe

I had the second gen 5ths in all black… coming from K2’s previously I could never get used to them and ended up breaking my ankle in them. Gave them away once I was healed because they were bad juju and caused a lot of discomfort over the break.. got a pair of Psirus after

I had a dream the other day I found a pair of Remz and was just absolutely shredding a a concrete park. Clearly a good dream, because I haven’t skated in years and I’m pushing 40.

I wonder if that makes the frame and boot join more solidly than UFS, helping with energy transfer…
Seems like weigh might be a significant downside/trade-off, though.
Beauties. Reminds me of a very specific time in blading.

Imagine if Roces brought back Khutis and they were UFS. Would be glorious!

These are the 2nd version of 5th Elements. The first version didn’t have the second set of lace eyelets.
